Man tied to suspected gunman in 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur indicted on murder charge

A Nevada grand jury indicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis in the killing, prosecutors announced in court Friday. Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo said a grand jury had been seated in the case for “several months.” DiGiacomo described Davis as the “on-ground, on-site commander” who “ordered the death” of Shakur.

The charges were revealed hours after Davis, 60, was arrested this morning while on a walk near his home, according to DiGiacomo.

He moved in next door to a client's and when she asked him politely to turn down his portable toilet sized speakers he replied by motherfucking her at max volume for several days. I’d say the VAST majority of “unsolved cases” that are actually worked (not in cities like Detroit where the body count is so high they can’t even start an investigation), the investigators know who the suspect is. The majority of the time there’s just not enough solid evidence to put together a good case to present
To a DA to move forward with
Prosecution or even an Arrest. Lots of “that dude killed that dude but we didn’t have enough to arrest them” going on out there. A LOT.

His lyrics also celebrated the murder of a fellow lyrical genius, and very likely contributed directly to his early demise.
No one will change your feelings on his music. He did have a huge influence on rap.

But to me, lyrical genius is more like Geezer Butler, Paul Simon, John Lennon and on and on.
Rappers rhyming about their street exploits is boring. It’s simply who can rhyme the most fucked up shit.
Half their “songs” are about how untalented their opposing labels are.
My lyrical tastes run a little deeper than hearing anyone with a ridiculous stage name brag about how his niggas are fiercer than your niggas and they all fucked that nigga and shot a bunch of other niggas while the popo chased them around.

I always thought Pac was smarter than the average idiot gangster nigga though.
He did have some serious intelligence comparatively speaking. So compared to most of the other fuckheads, he probably could be considered a lyrical genius, since the majority of rappers can’t seem to spell or speak English.
Full disclosure, I was always a “body count” fan.
But there again, T isn’t your average street thug with an idiotic name.

I’ve watched all the Pac murder shows over the years.
As well as the biggy documentaries.
At the end of the day, it makes no difference who did what. It’s gangsters shooting each other.
