Hey Guys,

Wanted to share with everyone what CMS has done with the Scepters and what makes it an option for more people now. The price of the conversion is $9,000 and pretty much gives you a deck boat type setup. Check out the pics. Thanks to CMS for providing us with this option for our customers.

Chris

That's pretty damn cool right there.. Was the sceptor an innerliner all the way up to the bow before the conversion?

I would like to see at least one of those cubbies have a flat section in it for cooler storage.

This looks really good. Never did like the design of the Scepter with the large opening for the cuddy. IMO

Wow, thats a huge upgrade, but I gotta gree that drink storage would be my #1 use for those cubby's... I'm sure it is, but I would at elast make that an option. Even better would be some sort of a built in cooler with a drain that goes out the side of the boat...

Why wouldn't one just buy a deck boat at that point?

Most likely due to the fact that they are sitting on a ton of Scepter inventory and I think most the decks (if not all) are gone at this point.

Exactly. The decks have been long gone and we have around 25 or so of the Scepters left at blow out prices. Plus, the new Scepter Sport I feel will sell alot quicker when built new for CMS.

I know this is a very old thread but this conversion is super clean! I'm not ready to do it at this time but might consider it in the future.

I see that a whole new console was built for the passenger side. One of the things I like most is the openness of the cabin. Would there be any way to do an open bow conversion and maintain the openness of the passenger side? I would also love to make the front a walk-off. IMO at that point you truly have the best of both worlds, cat and deck.

Holy Blast from the past! 12 years ago such a different phase of my life! Thanks for taking me back to simpler times!.

I gotta go and get ready to put this baby down with a bath and bedtime. 8pm in bed for me these days!

Reach out to Pedro at Saleen he’d be the one to talk to about it imho.

Man this seems like such a good idea. I see quite a few Sceptors for sale at decent prices compared to deck boat prices.
