Walk around of the latest Lux Chasetoon that has been delivered in LHC! Check out the matching DCB at the end!

I can tell you these boats don’t feel like pontoons.. they feel extremely “classy & quiet” when you are running them. Very impressed with the construction quality.

Beautiful build, but I struggle with the 'wasted' space on the back of the boat. Is it for performance that they space everything so far forward of the ends of the ponttons?

Great video Dave. Things awesome. I kinda agree with @paradise i get the big party deck out back but what if you brought the motors and Inlaid them into the swim step area with a mini step and ladder still between the motors? You’d loose the area on each side to the motors but the motors wouldn’t stick out so far.

Look at all of them and they have that deck on the back. After owning my Avalon I don’t think I’d own one without it. One I like the way it looks.. but more importantly that’s where you hard mount big coolers to haul drinks for the entire crew etc. Gives kids a place to jump and get wet etc without bringing all that shit in the boat.

Totally agree. That rear space gets used.

I get that, but it looks like 3-4 feet behind the deck to the front of the engines. This area:

Sky hook and joystick control. Badass setup where the motors can turn independently and control their F/R and speed to make the boat pivot, move straight sideways or hold itself in place.

Joystick.. the boat will crawl sideways, spin on its own access or stay in one spot regardless of current (skyhook)

To make the boat do things unnatural they will pivot away from each other in varying degrees and apply certain amounts of forward and reverse to achieve “sideways” among other things

I think it’s even more now..
It is.

My friend’s boat which I think is next was supposed to be the first one with the joystick option.

He’s got a high 5 figure equity in the thing and has yet to take delivery.

These are really neat boats.

My favorite feature of my joystick controller is the Skyhook feature. Of course, since I have Yamaha motors, it’s called something else. I forgot what Yamaha calls it. Lol

Beautiful boats.:cool:o_O

The boat is 99% perfect in my eyes for a perfect family party platform. I still stand behind it would look even better if the rear of the boat carries the boat sides down to be flush with the rear deck seats.

Love the boarding ladder. Pretty slick way to get back on the boat.

What kind of speeds are they seeing with 400’s/450’s?

The reason the motors are set far back is the center toon has walk off steps built into the toon. If we didn't match the outside toons and make them closer you'd walk into the props .. the front of the motors are at the second red line

Those motors see a lot of water spray sitting that far back. See video at 4:10 and 4:35 minutes.
It all depends on the trim on how much splash it creates, also by adding the rear handrails we did get some spray off of them. We will have to add a splash guard in the future.

This boat is the heaviest to date with twin side doors, with the 400V-10s we saw 62 with 600 more rpms to go. It all depends on the set up.
300Rs 55
400Rs mid 60s
450Rs low 70s
500Rs upper 70s/80

Solid numbers for how heavily optioned they are. Have you guys moved weight around from the first model?

I believe that is the Skyhook system that articulates the motors to keep the boat in place when activated
It also looks like the perfect articulation for when you are floating so the props point away from the step down ladder area...

be careful on how dependant you are on and use these systems. I've rebuilt/replaced a lot of very low hour bravos because of them. They wear out the clutches like crazy.

also you need a 10 degree transom for the motors to be able to articulate, so we had a 10 degree stand off box made. First of its kind it’s really cool

I think they are asking why not extend the deck to the back of the motors. The swim step is nice but you have unused space here.
