Lucerne Valley winds?

Got camping plans in Lucerne Valley/Johnson Valley this weekend. A buddy of mine is freaking out about the potential for high winds. Multiple weather reports show clear and winds around 10 miles an hour. Historical weather shows winds were between three and 11 mph this past week with one hour of 23 mph winds.

For those of you in the area, did you guys get hit hard with winds this past week? Any indication it’s gonna be a bad weekend coming up?

Thanks in advance

If your on the high side of whatever Lake Bed your camping by (Anderson, Soggy, etc) you can avoid the dust for the most part. JV has afternoon wind pretty much on the norm anyway. Wind 10-15 is just a thing in JV. Lake bed dust is like breathing cement.

Like saying you plan to go to Lake Havasu but you heard the lake might be wet.

I live in Apple Valley and when there is a Santa Ana, there is little wind up here. Yesterday I cruised over to Means to check on how the building of Hammertown is going and no significant wind.
