25’ish hours later.. we are beat but we are here!

I was talking to the guys and service about possibly fixing my trailer and the guy looked at me and said you’re the third crew from Havasu to arrive today. The other two looked about has Haggard as you guys. lol.

PBC don’t fuck with trailers, I tried to get them to do mine before boat came out. Talk to @lake p.a.l. he took my trailer to some good guys in the area that put new disc brakes on EOH unit and checked all hubs.

By the way, after all the talk about prepping for the tow and wrapping it, cover, tape etc etc. how’d the boat fair with no cover?!

Can you confirm you have 12V on your 7 pin position? I had that issue and I blew the +12V pin on the 7 wire trailer outlet on the truck. Swapped fuse and been good ever since. Simple fix but at the time I didn’t know about it and all the other trailer lights worked so I thought the EoH wasn’t installed properly.

New Mexico is narrow enough to drive through without gas stops, just need to take the hit on a short leg on either side.

I agree but I’m holding my breath for the next election cycle. People here are sick of this shit. There are some great things here but truck stops off the interstate are really bad. We are definitely to dependent on the federal government. Strangely enough I can’t believe how many out of state plates driving around. Intel and Sandia national labs are hiring like crazy. Hopefully bringing in some red voters.

Holiday inn Express and Suites. Copper point way. ABQ….

We’ve stayed there about 6+ times. Dead end street. Fenced property. Next to the 40 but you don’t hear it. Never had any issues with anyone bothering us or my Dodge. Parking is limited, and if towing a bigger trailer/boat you’d want to get there in time to take up spots…

Also to add, I’m running an in-bed transfer flow tank for 95 gallons. Also an aftermarket KB
In frame tank for 65 gallons. I can run about 1600+ miles. Allows you to “shop” for fuel..

The one that’s right in town is the one you want to stay away from, there’s a newer one at exit 149. Most truckstops near a metropolitan shit holes have issues. The one Dave stopped at has always been historically terrible.

Truck Country in Versailles did all the work on Tanks trailer. They are Mennonite & do fantastic work. Bee's Knee's Brewery in Versailles has very good food & beer.

Many years ago, I can't even remember what year it was. We left Oklahoma City on a Thursday evening, drove to Corona CA, bought a Deaver hydro from mouzer on Friday afternoon. Went to a casino in Palm Desert, stayed the night there. Went and watched a drag boat race at Firebird, We (my buddy and I) were back in OKC Sunday morning.

A lot of stories came out of the trip.

Man in the other thread about towing to LOTO, everyone made is seem you were going to be towing through a warzone and needed a chase truck with tools and parts, along with protective bubble wrap around the whole boat....and there you are, 25 hours later, boat in water drinking beers....lol, thats awesome!!

ROOKIES!!!!

Most people on this site don't tow long distance, and when they do, they do it on the same 9 year old tires that have a total of 472 miles on them since new. We drag our junk all over to go boating and with just a whisker of prep have very little issues.

My favorite part is when people say "don't go this way, there is some steep hills in there"........... Dear lord, this guy has a very nice late model diesel that will tow a house, and he simply towing a medium sized vessel!
