Basically my daughter's eco diesel jeep engine expired. It's under warranty but here's the kicker. Jeep doesn't have a engine and doesn't know when they will be getting one. The car had been down since April. Can't get anywhere with anyone. I'm trying to escalate it but all of get is the run around with broken English speaking people. Super pissed

Does that not fall under lemon law? 5-6 months of no use is nuts.

What expired about it? Not rebuildable? Put a used engine out of a late mode low mileage dodge and have it put in. You can have your lawyer ask for a refund later.

Who have you escalated to? My Gladiator Rubicon eco diesel had issues and spent 250 out of 500 days of ownership in the shop due to the fuel system issues.....I sent a very lengthy diary to the board at Stellantis and within an hour had a call from Michael MacDonald... He is Customer Care and Experience, Executive Referrals Manager. His email [email protected] and office is 586-274-8085... They lemon lawed my Gladiator with upgrades and cut a check for 92k to me; gave me employee pricing on a new RAM and 10yr/100K mile warranty.....

How long did you have it? I had a extended warranty because we took it in for a emissions recall. So everything on the turbo system was covered hoses, pipes sensors everything. Turbo line failed oil got hot.... rod knock. They said its covered under warranty because something in the turbo system caused the engine to expired, but there's no long block to be had. Last I heard might be February 24.
I have a loaner. But our jeep is sitting in the sun rotting away. My cars are always garaged. Also the jeep broke down in Cali so it's at Aaron's jeep in Norco and we are in Havasu.

Back in 2000 we bought a VW. It had an issues in the paint. Dealer BS’s us for a couple of months as it got a bit worse. So then I reached out to corporate VW. That is where things really was an issue. They tried to tell me tha tit was not that big of an issue. I got them to admit that it was an issue. Personally I think that it was damaged in transit and fixed.

I took it to an independent body shop and got pricing to resolve and make me whole turns out it was cheaper to trade out the car to one similar.

Personally I document all communication with the Dealer. Once it starts going in circles or not a resolution in sight step it up a notch. Reach out to the district manage of Jeep and express that it is dragging on with you paying for a vehicle that you are not able to use. I am sure that it will get a bit of traction to a resolution.

Best of luck to you William. 👍

Had it approximately 500 days... had my first problem where the fuel pump detonated at about 9k miles...from then on it spent most days in the shop due the issue you are faced with problem getting parts since so many of those Bosche HPF pumps were detonating and send fragments down the fuel system. They would put it back together and within a week of having it; it would go into limp....normally an hour into a river trip or once 2 hours into a Mammoth trip. Ordered it Dec 2020, got it Mar 2021, buy back end of summer of 2022. Yeah....it sucked to see it rot away, it was dialed in and I loved it when it ran good.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s, 5000 mile valve job on the heads were common.

I’ve been putting 20-36k miles on company cars for 40 years. I trade them in every 2-3 years. The new cars are much better then before. Getting them fix is the problem. Not enough experienced mechanics to make repairs.
