Essex, Tahiti, Interceptor and Nordic should be able to get it done within that budget.

Good price range to get a good boat with solid power. I’d lean towards a newer Nordic, Eliminator or Hallett in that range. Personally i’d lean towards Merc power 520/525.

I’d say any of those builders plus a couple, with any blue Merc, TCM, or Ilmor powered.

And, in the 520 I’d go Hallett 285.
Properly propped it’s quicker, but not faster than those guys with more power.
It would probably be a bit more friendly to tubing and general toying around with towable toys.

Man I haven’t heard anything about Essex boats in years! They used to be brought up in every other conversation.

The best "bang for your buck" deck boat is to buy one barely used, no doubt. I'd get a Howard or a Nordic..

I see a few of their new deck boats in Havasu, not too many new V's.

Yeah I seen quite a few new Essex Deck Boats on Havasu this summer also. Not sure what they’re priced at these days? They’re good looking, but I would be going Nordic if I was spending $130K on a new boat. No comparison in quality!!!

There's quite a few 28 decks the run around in parker. My friend owns one of them, his second Essex. Definitely a difference in price compared to a Nordic or Howard, but still an awesome boat

If your looking new and maxed at 130 then Nordic is by far the best option
Service, location, after sell care, resale... nobody compares. If you go used I suppose a lightly used magic would be a good choice.

Sell me on a shockwave, what are some advantages of owning their deck boats?
quality craftmanship. attention to detail. customizeable to whatever your heart desires. great pricing for a lot of boat.

as for the boat itself. its a cadillac. built for comfort.(but drop in big power and you go fast stage 3 600sci is a 95 mph boat). Tons of storage space. More than you will ever need. Tons of room inside. Im a massive human with a massive family and we all fit nice and comfortable.

An owner who BUILDS your boat. Everything in your shockwave is built and assembled at shockwave. The OWNER is in your boat doing the rigging along with his awesome crew. So if something ever goes wrong with your boat, he knows what it is and can fix it. No need to take it to every repair shop around.

The shockwave family...we have a lot of great boat owners who get together nearly every weekend somehow someway. We have a great facebook community check out the shockwave owners group. Tons of fun.

Ive had my boat around 3 years have 150 hrs on it and the only major issue i have had was the first weekend out. Had a bad water pump that needed replacing which was under warranty through Mercury. Cant say enough about my boat other than its for sale so i can build another 28 deck with Bob
