Looking for a project car or truck

My son is turning 16 soon and we've been looking for something we can fix up for him to drive. He likes old muscle cars or an old truck. We thought someone might have something they might want to part with?

What kind of truck and how much of a project are you looking to get into??, I have a 66 Chevy 1/2 ton long bed 99% rust free but it's a full on project, if that would interest you I can send pics and info...

look for a 97+ regular cab silverado (lots of them out there,not slow or fast and just enough room for him and his hunny)

Personally I would want disc brakes and air bags for my youngster. Anything too old is going to be crude and noisy to drive daily.

I love my 69 C-10 but there is no way in the world I would let my kid drive it to school. Guaranteed it will get jacked and/or beaten to shit.

Damn,wish I woulda seen this yesterday.Saw a 68-69ish ElCo yesterday 4 sale.A little ruff around the edges but would make a great starting point.Sounded pretty nice too.

I actually saw a pretty clean looking truck similar to the one above a couple of days ago on CL. Just had some old skooler Djunkie style Boyds rims on it. But looked clean. :thumbsup I liked it cuz it had a V6 in it too. I know I know, not a V8. But I was thinking good for a daily driver. And I think the 4.3's have decent power. I think it was only like $3500 too. I can try to dig it up if you want.
