Is it worth the drive from phoenix?I know it’s small I have a friend that I used to race motocross with quite a bit in the early 2000s he moved out there it’s been trying to get me to come out and check it out for a long time.I have a week vacation coming up for my birthday in November was thinking about checking it out I think 2 to 3 days would be plenty since it’s small.

It depends on what you define as worthwhile. Go for the adventure, see an old buddy, and have fun. If the dunes are sub-par, at least they're not the only reasons for going.

Had some friends of friends that made an epic journey one spring. Left Glamis, hit Coral Pink, then Little Sahara on their way to some place in Michigan! Dune trip version of Endless Summer...I was lucky if my car would run one full weekend

It may not be as big as Glamis but it's still the dunes and an almost guarantee to have a good time.

I dont do the dunes anymore but I grew up riding there. Never been to Glamis etc but its a fun place for sure. Probably was less people than Glamis

Stopped there on the way home from St Anthony dunes last week for a day and a half.

Easily visible on google maps. I know a ton of people that go as its only 150 miles from me. For the mid west its big compared to a very few others. People even run on the sand bars on the Arkansas River here in south central KS. Its just south of Waynoka OK.

my buddy lives in Tulsa and goes all the time also, said it's 3 hrs for him.sucks he said no beer allowed
