Well yesterday was quite the game. This play was very early in the game and was the start to a nightmare of a game. They other team had a player ejected and the manager eventually too. I teach my boys to play hard and to be aggressive. I will never teach them to play dirty. My son is all of 50lbs and one of the smallest boys in the major division. He did slide hard like he was supposed to and at was a combination of blocking the plate and jumping to catch the ball. You can’t see it in the video but I tried to hold up both runners. We put them back on 3rd and 2nd once everything settled down because even though it was a live ball I’m not a dirty coach. After this play the biggest kid on their team told my son I’m going to fuck you up bitch. I let it go and told Eli when he comes around be aware and protect yourself. Eli plays second base but I took him out the next inning because I knew what was going on. That player got a hit and next pitch went to take out my shortstop. Glad Eli wasn’t there. He got to third but my shortstop made a great play and got a double play keeping that kid from scoring. Later on that kid got hosed at second and things again got a little wild. Some point after that the manager came to get in my face and just wreaked of alcohol. I told him to get in his dugout and he shouted out this is bullshit and he got to go home. We beat them like 13-2 or something and this team had nothing for us but it was just disgusting to watch what these boys are being taught. This is an every week occurrence with this team. Yesterday was the first time we played them and we play them again next week
Oh and the pitcher that got hurt is the other managers son. He went back in to play catcher and hosed 3 of my guys. Great little player. He wasn’t hurt though just embarrassed. These are 10-12 year old boys
