It looks like El Segundo beat Texas. Good job to all the kids and coaches that made it Williamsport!
My Rhode Island team was in it. Until it wasn’t. 😡😀

Watched many good games. Some very close. Can’t imagine the stress on a pitcher in some of later innings.
Congrats to all that made it to Pennsylvania 👍👍

Let’s go El Segundo. 💪💪🤞

That Texas picture has a pretty good sister making sure his hair and skin care is all taken care of. 😱😜🤷

Is there a team from Hawaii this year? They typically do fairly well over the years

Amazing at the talent coming up through Little League. Some VERY GOOD baseball players! Couldn’t help but notice the good sportsmanship of the Japanese players and the arrogance of the the players from China and Mexico. I know they were hyped up but showed very little restrain. Always seemed to taunt them when they won a small battle, IMO. Should be a real good game tomorrow.

There’s always going to be some who are you say.
I believe China was only there after a major appeal against Korea. Illegal kids.
The sportsmanship has a huge range. And not just from the kids. I think for the most part some of these kids make friends from all over for a lifetime.

Yes. South Korea used 2 players from another team vs TAIWAN and were disqualified. 😉😛

I think you are correct with this statement. Many bonds formed here. It just seems there is always more controversy than one would expect from Little League? But, I watch it for what it is, good baseball!

We watched every game, from the Regionals, through the Championship, and will watch the US vs International tomorrow.

It's the only baseball we watch anymore. Even with the wife's younger brother being a former major league pitcher.

Watching them play for just the love of the game is refreshing, when you consider the prima donnas in MLB. Hell, even the players in the farm system(s) think they're God's gift to athletics.

Major congratulations to the El Segundo kids. Growing up in that area, Hawthorne and Manhattan Beach, and living in El Segundo for a while, kinda makes them my "Home" team. But it WAS kinda funny, with the announcers calling ES a "Beach City", while showing aerials of Manhattan Beach. You can't get to the Beach in El Segundo without driving through the refinery and tank farm. You know the real story, however, when you consider that the best surf spots there were called "Shit Pipe" and "Oil Pier".

Little league in my day your team was lucky to get a sponsor to supply T-shirts.

1st place = 3 watermelons
2nd place = 2 watermelons
3rd place = 1 watermelon.

:)

My son has been playing with/against that kid since they were 8. He plays for the Braves out of Van Nuys. #2 team in country @ 12u and he is One of the top players in all of US.

An out should have been recorded when the (opposing) coach grabbed the hitter of the home run when he rounded 1st base, simple rule isnt it??

The rule is if you assist or hinder. Like pull him back to keep him from running into an out or shove him to beat a tag or whatever. I’m not sure I saw it but I know after the grand slam the first base coach grabbed the hitter to say something.

Baseball is in the El Segundo culture. In the blood.
Every kinda league from the grapefruit softball, slo pitch, fast pitch, Hardball of all ages,, it's what that mile square city lives and breaths.

Excellent game. The El Segundo pitcher who gave up the Grand Slam - Coach needs to tell him to get a bigger hat or a hair cut. Maybe both. Retrieving his hat, after most every pitch got old. . . in a hurry.
Him and that fucking hat drove me and my buddy crazy, a line drive to his head while he was picking it up might have learned him.
