I saw a thing on the internet awhile back and I thought I’d share.. If any of you are married or long term we all know the “asking where you want to Goto lunch or dinner question.” They always say “wherever you want” and then shoot down the first five responses. Lol

So this said don’t ask the question but rather say “guess where I’m taking you to lunch today?” Whatever they answer is where you go. Lol

Today I said where do you want to Goto lunch? She said anything but Mexican. I said “Ok guess where I’m taking you to lunch?” She said “Chabones?” And here we are. Lol

Nice! I've always loved Tommy from the paradise cafe days. I was sad to learn on here that it is no longer there. I hate fried chicken but he did something magic with teriyaki and fried chicken that I have never forgotten!

Amazing to see how everyone will quickly agree on something then. If they don’t agree and I get frustrated (short fuse here too) I turn around and go home and tell them they can eat cereal.

Wife - Hesitates CPK?
Me - Yeah, how did you know?
Wife - more hesitation.....no, your lying.

Wife - no, where did you want to go?
Me - CPK
Wife - ok, CPK is good.

We shall see if it gets better next Friday. LOL.

Let's bring this one back up. I recently have deployed this tactic with my wife (been together about 7 years) and I have to say, it is a slam dunk.

Others above noted that this sounds expensive, oddly enough she almost always responds with the places I would usually want to go (I am far less fancy than my lovely wife). Safe to say this one is staying in the play book for a LOOOOONG time.

This actually hilarious! RR is one of my favorite places, but the one here in Salem is a shit show, and when we are at the Sunriver house, it just too fkn far to drive back into Bend..... The one in Havasu however seems to always be an easy in/out deal.........

So we went down a couple weeks back and land in Vegas, shes hungry, and I just wanna gtfo and get to Havasu. Shes bitching the whole way about being hungry. As we turn onto the 95 at the Pilot I pull the "guess where I'm taking you to dinner"...... She answers "better be Red Robin cause I'm not waiting anywhere else"....... As you said.... pure gold...... I got my way and she was happy as hell!
