Been watching this, Pretty insane the amount of loss. A disaster of a country, Islamic idealistic beliefs offer no help but dang an estimated 40k possible people wiped out.

Living in many places its easy to see how these things happen but honestly laying up on the tit this morning with the AC on watching the news and planning my day.. Shall we say thank God we live where we do!

Can't imagine how ferociously that flood blew through that city. 😳
Humans do tend to inhabit low areas near water. But I will say it's pretty much impossible to prepare for two burst dams.

You can’t beat Mother Nature. Sad deal all the way around with their beliefs.

Hadn’t paid much attention. Just looked it up. Wow, 11,300 dead and another at least 10,000 missing. So sad.

The Desert can take itself back at any time and everything there is out to kill you.
Hold that thought for we all live and play in the desert.

Wife and I pulling into Terribles in Jean Thursday, dry as we pulled in, 0 to 6” rampaging flooding in under a minute.

We’re not desert in New Hampshire but it rains often. Sometimes it pours, like hell, then it stops. When it does the locals seem like they’re new. Hopefully a lot of them will head south for the winter.

Pretty much. Once Gaddafi was removed by NATO forces the fighting for control began and has never been settled so in the meantime the population suffers. Gotta feel for these poor bastads, they are pretty much screwed and now will be faced with widespread disease from all the decaying bodies, injured, lack of clean water and medicine. . Although a tragity far away a look at LA or about any major city in the US they look just like many impoverished places I've been and now it's here.

With these countries being far away its sometimes hard to grasp until you look at the steep ascending curve of despare and social decay in out country; another third world knocking at our front door..
