Is that 'AI' Generated ?
If not , F-That being that close to it.

I've seen sharks do stuff when they're 'supposedly' dead that'd trip you out.

I didn't see this personally . . . but I 'heard' there was a Mako shark caught on a long range boat out of San Diego years ago. They're really good eating, and this one was smallish in size . . . so the crew decided to keep. One of the deckhands lopped-off the head at an angle and put it on 'display' on the bait tank facing up and out. Their teeth are really impressive . . . really 'needle-like' as opposed to great whites triangles . . . . I guess a young kid put his finger in the mouth to touch the teeth, and the nerves of the shark fired closing the mouth on the kids hand. Cut him up pretty good and scared the crap out of him at the same time !

Never give a shark a chance.

I believe it.
Funny story . . . I think I was still in high school, maybe my junior summer. I worked on the 'Bongos' 6-pack boat for a summer.
At that time they were big into Mako fishing. One day we had the guys from Shimano came out. They caught a mako and wanted to keep it.
They got it next ot the boat and I grabbed the gaff . . . it was small . . . under 100 lbs.
I gaffed it and Joe Barian the Owner captain said "Keep it in the water, hold it right there".
Next thing I know, 'BANG' . . . and the water splashes around the head of the shark.
My ears are ringing, & I can't hear shit. . . . . He had pulled out a .357 and shot the thing !
Would've been nice if he'd told me ahead of time. 😆

I've had a spinner shark jump right next to the boat and bounce off. Another time a mako swam right up to the boat and was rubbing his nose against the side. Weird.

When we fished, even if we were dealing with a pissed off shark, we never resorted to using a gun. Not to say we couldn't if the need was greater than the risk, but we always managed to subdue it and the most we suffered were a couple of bent gaffs and some teeth marks in the swimstep, which that made for a fun story over beers --- later, because we never drank when we fished either.
I always considered the struggle at the gaff(s) part of the fun and thrill of the catch. Be it a dancing Mahi, a leaping Marlin, a tail pounding Tuna, or crazed Mako.
Simply shooting the thing seemed so anti-climatic, not to mention the unstable conditions that make handling a firearm in that situation dangerous.

Now trust me, my old commercial fishing buddy I've known since the 60's, would completely disagree and always has a "Make My Day" firearm at the ready while fishing. 🤣 PS: I've heard it rumored that even mammals fear the sound of his boat's vintage Detroit Diesel thumping it's way onto the fishing grounds.
