Holy shit. What a week. .
Wife sent the OG pic right after delivery. Me and the other grandpa were high 5’ing and hugging. I posted on RDP a little while later passing the time waiting to be called in. Next thing you know there are doctors and nurses running around in a panic. Wife went radio silent. And we sat there for what felt like forever. Turns out baby Harper didn’t “transition” to breathing very well. Bunch of crap in her lungs, turned some different colors and went into NicU for a few days. What an unbelievable roller coaster of emotions. I’ve never seen my daughter with the 100yrd stare. Most heartbreaking and helpless thing I’ve been thru. Turns out it’s “fairly” common. She was home a few days later. All tests came back 100%. Happy and healthy little girl.
