Sadly, I had to give up my Ram1500 diesel, the easiest driving smoothest riding pick up truck I’ve ever owned. Business requires heavy loads to be towed, trying to minimize my trip to Corona every few weeks so now it was time for a change of hats. Very difficult to find King Ranch. In fact there was none in the southwest United States much less Ford has stopped production due to the strike at the plant.

the king ranch interior Java color is kick ass all engraved aluminum – and various other parts. Not to mention all the electronics 12 inch screen and fourth grade Siri system that works flawlessly every time like in my bronco Great looking interior.. not many options on my part but I did not want to moonroof living in Vegas. I don’t need a sun lamp on my skull

. It had the fifth wheel option and gooseneck inserted made the in the bed with the covers on it that’s fine and the chrome package with the mudflaps.

Diesel torque is 1050 pounds I got the standard diesel, 32 gallon tank, with a 3.31 electronic locker.

First drive, Las Vegas to phoenix to pick up my new trailer in this photo, a 24 foot 14,000 pound gross weight aluminum flat deck trailer. The trailer deck will hold 10,750 pounds . I tan it 70 to 75 miles an hour no load I could not believe the fuel economy,

unlike the previous super duties that I have owned. A real 22.6 miles per gallon!

Towed the 3200 pound trailer back to Las Vegas and got 18.9.

I’ll update in the next day or two I’m towing a light load this time back to krone overall weight probably about 5000 to 6000 pounds. I missed a great ride of the ram, but it is what it is.

The 10 speed with the diesel is no joke, MPG is amazing. Have to delete a 6 speed to get there.

Beautiful truck! These 23's are really starting to grow on me.

The grill is growing on me, the bed step is ugly but would be very useful, bumper step bad ass. But that front fender emblem. Is horrible.

The Fords are the best looking truck out there by far.

When I start it up in the morning in my garage, all the LEDs come on the front and projection goes on to the wall in front of the truck grill showing ford’s seventy fifth anniversary making trucks
Same thing goes on the 12 inch screen.

Ask her that step in the bed the new Chevy’s have the same thing three-quarter ton in one tote it’s pretty handy because the trucks pretty tall and they stop producing 2 Wheel Dr. three-quarter and 1 ton trucks with easy and advertiser not everything is four-wheel-drive

Very nice heads up display most of these newer features an update for for the 23 model.

After having a KR package (17 F150) I will never go back to something else. It spoils you quickly. People say "My platinum is just as nice...." are fooling them selves. The leather is not even close. That said, it is a different look.

Love the King Ranch! Will be my next truck IF/when I buy one.
Really would have liked that mileage instead of the 14 I got when I did my 3000 mile road trip last week.

So an FYI, everyone is MSRP, I called 10 dealers over a 1 month time span. It is what it is, NO mark up. Ford gave me a mailer good for $1,250. I could by most any truck, hey the company is paying for it. Hands down this KR is super nice. I cut a great deal on 100K all in warranty. Ford offers a 100% maintance deal too, I purchased this for $2,900. Covers everything oil, diff, brake pads, fuel filters, up to 100K. So as a business I can not nickel and dine the books for years, just take the write off expense this year. AND FYI, I believe this is the last year for acerated depreciation at 70%!!! Drops next year. So go for it.

Stay tuned for a very unique new BMW for CEO wifey soon. It is all about taxes and avoiding this, CPA says we run the company lean.... We are getting killed.

It’s 80% for 23’ and goes to 60% for 24’ and 20% every year after till bonus depreciation is 0. Hopefully that changes with a new administration.

Why Houston, better deal?
Yes. Best I could do locally (San Diego, Riverside and LA areas) was MSRP plus tax, license, registration blah blah blah. Most dealers still had ADM of at least $3k over MSRP plus all the fees. Let’s just say that after the cost of 2 tickets to Houston, fuel cost and hotel stay, I am close to $7k OTD cheaper than the best deal in SoCal.

What is the power train warranty? It used to be 100k.

Just a bit more on this F 250, per manual I like the updated anti theft system alarm. Not onlt does it have tracking, if someone disconnects the battery, it has a hidden back up battery that will send an alert to mt Ford App on phone. And this part about if I have it parked, and someone disconnects the trailer, attempts to tow the truck ,etc.

HOW DOES THE ANTI-THEFT ALARM SYSTEM WORK When armed, the anti-theft alarm is triggered in any of the following ways: • If someone opens a door, the tailgate or the hood without a correctly coded key or remote control. • If you turn the power on without a correctly coded key. • If the interior sensors detect movement inside your vehicle. • If the inclination sensors detect an attempt to raise your vehicle. • If someone disconnects the vehicle battery or the battery backup alarm. • If someone disconnects the trailer. See Connecting a Trailer (page 359). Any further attempts to carry out one of the above, sounds the alarm again. If the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the alarm horn sounds for 30 seconds and the turn signals flash for five minutes.

I'm guessing this is another feature that requires you maintain a subscription following the initial "Free" period ?
Do they provide a list of these subscription based features ? I believe the Blue Cruise also requires this service.

The alarm is part of Ford Pass, I believe 5 year service, some lower end models are less. But just for the trailer disconnect feature it is outstanding. I have 4 Fords on the App, and it is just about the best detailed simple app and info system that I have ever used for a vehicle. Never any failure in several years of usage.

I look at these beautiful and unbelievably powered trucks and wonder what the MPG's would be if we were dealing with 1991 "don't save the children" standards...
