Lake Tahoe Rules?

I looked online, kinda vague , can my hot rod go on it. Says 5 mph 100’ from shore, and no loud stereo.
I have to assume mufflers and 35 mph tops.

Anybody know?

They are super strict on quagga mussel inspection. You need to go down and get inspected before you launch. Leave yourself plenty of time. You might have dunk it in their cleaning tank.

make sure everything is dry and clean before you go.

if you got mufflers you should be good to go.

launch ramps are limited and small so plan ahead.

everything is expensive.

check the afternoon weather the day you launch. Winds pick up in the afternoon but forecasts are usually accurate. If they are predicting high winds that day go to the bar instead

I know @GRADS probably has more hours on that lake than anyone else here.

There are some loud boats on the lake all the time. I was on Tahoe at least one to four days a week before we moved away a few months ago. Looks like you have a 26ft Daytona? There are a few fast cats, etc around there that are super loud, so I wouldn't worry about it. There are ton of old Chris Craft style boats that have open headers etc running around all the time.

Seriously though, there is a noise law but it is rarely enforced. I ran my Daytona up there all the time and it had twin 525's with DRY pipes and no mufflers...it was LOUD and I only got questioned one time and I think it's because a neighbor in the Keys complained. There is no speed limit. I'm pretty sure its 5 mph 200 feet from shore but I thought that was a rule at any lake.

Plenty of loud boats on the lake. I run open exhaust on my heat w/600sci. Stay 600’ off of the docks, shoreline, or buoy fields. Be courteous in the Keys.

Every group has that asshole. Grads (Greg) is a liberal prick most of the time and loves to stir up shit. But he is a good guy, and he knows his shit. Especially about Tahoe. He has never experienced Havasu and Parker very much to my knowledge and many of us have been egging him on for years to come out and have a good time. Unfortunately, when he was ready to, covid hit and the on top of it all he had two strokes.
Personally I think he is a good dude. If I don’t want to see any more liberal shit (usually because I just watched the "local" news from LA) I simply ignore his antics.
