Today we golfed at Lake Las Vegas and like the coarse. I was also suprised at how much building was going on there. Lots of nice homes and some high high end homes.

Shit is cheap right now too (I mean comparative to other areas of the same stature around Vegas). I was so sad to see all the businesses and such go away there. We used to love to go have dinner, drink then an ice cream. All the shops near where the casino was is closed. I hope it all gets going again!

It looks like it is in full swing. Looks like hundreds of new homes being built.

The Italian restaurant that was down there on the water was excellent.

If I still had a full swing I wouldn't slice my shots so much :D:p:D

Reflection Bay cost me a few swings.
That course was a challenge and kicked my ass.

Need to play it again.

My wife and I talk about how good that place was all the time!

My Mom's partner for almost 20 years is full blooded Italian from Milan, His family name is as recognizable as Ford would be in the US, in the Ammunition business, so all the staff would come out to greet him and bullshit in Italian, I think they were mostly from Milan as well. I don't think we ever had anything that was from the menu, they would just roll out course after course. He always remarked that it was the only place he'd ever been to in the US that made food the way they did at home.

There is a place over off the 215 and Eastern called Prosecco that has been around for a few years that is pretty good as well. They have a Tomahawk steak that isn't on the menu, but is rock solid.

That's way cool. I have heard great things about Prosecco. Have to get in there.

Love Tomahawk steaks. Mastros has a solid one also.

For those of us not in the know....Is this right near Las Vegas? How big is the lake? Is it a boat-able lake? How much for one of those swishy pads?

1. Lake Last Vegas is north of the Vegas strip about 15 miles.
2. Lake is small and I only saw toon boats.
3. We looked at new homes today after golf and the price for a 2200 square ft house with a nice view was $600K. Look on Zillo and you can get a idea of the prices. Lake Mead is very close.

Check that. Lake Las Vegas is East of the Strip. Near Las Vegas Bay, the Western point of Lake Mead.

That's where quite a few celeb's lived years ago when I was living there. I believe it is electric boats only, and no wake speed.
