On April 2nd and 3rd 2016 old school endurance racing makes its return to historic Lake Elsinore..

Get involved in racing the way it used to be done..it has been seen as one of the most exhilarating forms of racing out there. Man and machine pulled together to best the others.

This event is in conjunction with the NWSRA. There will be competitive ski racing also.

It has been proven in the last several years in Parker there is a pent up desire to just have fun again..smiling faces and innovators come together to test they?re equipment against the conditions and other competitors.

This is an opportunity for all configurations of boats and propulsion systems to come compete in a controlled, safe environment.

The event will be two days and features 100 miles on Saturday and 100 miles on Sunday. This race will have no fuel stops involved. So the boat must carry enough fuel to go 100 miles. This is designed for not only safety but will be less expensive to compete and less congestion in the pit area.

The rules package will match that of the Parker 336 but timing and scoring will be done differently. We will explain that in a later post.

This is a ?save the date? type post?we want it on your calendar. All the city stuff has been done. All permitting has been done?so we are good on all fronts.

This should be a good event . Teaming up with the ski racers is a good idea and it is another local race. It is getting harder each year to find race venues and this could be a good local one that is right in most of our backyards. Please continue to post updates , classes , etc.

Lou, we had planned on having a rules meeting for the 2016 Enduro at some point in the future. (month or two)

Being that this has come up on the horizon, I am e-mailing all the suggestions from the racers to Ben / Dave Rankin and they will sit down as soon as they are both free, and come up with the 2016 rules for the Enduro ASAP. (Their shouldn't be too many changes).

We will try to get you a complete set of rules, so that both races can be congruent. I already told Paul, anything he needs from me just let me know and I'd be happy to help however I can. This is a very aggressive timeline so the time to jump is now!

The NWSRA stated in a message that the city was anxious to have them there racing (and let them have the date each year), so they wanted to try for a good turn out. Sounds like a good way to make the event more interesting by adding the twin enduros.

dave they can make it awsome if its close to shore it was a good 15 yrs back probably last time they had it they launched at the city ramp and then they disapeered to the middle of the lake they ran around the hi speed bouys out there..........im talking along time ago but im hopen knowing this they will make the course atleast 1 side of the lake close to shore.......there were alot of big boats like the catalina ski races..the funnest boat to see was a 18 ft flatty .....but like i said they were way out there........the best place to be was the launch ramp and pit area.....not puting this down just hope they take in concideration the spectaters point of view.........from the beach in a beach chair it was horrible...
