Just get your jokes out of the way now............ Are you done yet? 🤣

I am getting ready to do the floors in my house, and I will be on my damn knees for a freaking week or more. It has been years since I have been in the field where I was adamant about knee pads. To the current trade folks, what are the ones to buy?

I have these for around the house and they work great, I often forget they are on even when I'm done with them as they are really comfortable.
I also have a professional pair of Milwaukee's I find I use less and less, I'm not a tradesman wearing them every day.

I would recommend getting bib overalls that have pockets for knee pad inserts. You’ll find it’s much more comfortable than the strap on pads which tend to slip around.

X2
Dickies & Timberland have some good pants with kneepad pockets too.

I am a knee pad hater. I built most of my house with the Milwaukee knee pads but I hate the double straps and they would often slide down.

A set of Marshalltown knee pads got dropped in front of my house so I gave them a try. They are AWESOME. I use them all the time. Comfortable and durable.

I can grab a pic when I get to my work truck. Most are junk and don't help much after a while.

Same as @DLC ….
Here’s mine … I think they’re the beefier ones …. Used to be called ‘Leather Heads’ I think… made by Troxell.

They are comfortable w/shorts & don’t snag the hair off the back of your legs.
Sometimes I’ll just throw them on the ground & use them as a kneeling pad if I don’t need to actually wear them.

with two titanium knees although My Orthopedic surgeon says its OK I am still scared of the kneeling , in both case the Patella was "resurfaced" but it still freaks me out
That’s strange. I have two titanium knees also. I can’t even come close to kneeling on them. Feels like somebody shove the dowel under my knee. Kind of flipping out now cause I think I’m gonna have to have a re-re-replacement done.

I think I read that "back in the day" that kneeling post replacement was tabu , Both mine have had "the Pattela resurfaced" whatever that really means but my Doc says kneel away I use a gardening foam pad but it still scares me ................. a couple weeks back I stubbles near my garge and went down on my knees on concrete , Scared the bejeezus out of my but got up and all was good

Patella resurfacing in knee replacement12345 involves removing the underside of the kneecap and replacing it with a plastic surface1. It can be done during total knee replacement surgery13 or as a partial knee replacement23. However, there is controversy about its use in total knee arthroplasty5

These actually work well for tile and I used to use it for LVP install and then on the small end areas go to a foam mat. Good luck with whatever you end up with, this style relieves low back pain with the seat support.

Same here but only one knee. There is no f**king way I can kneel on it. I’ve tried but no way.

I don’t know the brand but a few years ago I bought an expensive pair at Home Depot that were gel. I’ve had a knee replacement and my other knee isn’t much better, they have held up great and have worked great for me.

Need $$ for boat parts huh🤦‍♂️🤣🤣

These are what most of my guys are using. They wear them all day everyday even when they aren't doing anything on their knees. Dont know why, doesn't make sense to me but whatever🤷🏻‍♂️

Troxell for the win for sure. The strap doesn’t pinch behind your knee. I wear shorts year round and these are the only pads I will wear. An 80+ year old guy that still does real hardwood floors turned me on to them.

Didn't you hear? The titanium is a status symbol!

If I kneel more than 15-20 seconds with the kneecaps on a hard surface, the skin tears and bleeding begins. It's one of my awards for being an adventurous dipshit as a teenager

One thing that has been a issue now that I'm older is never considered my toes.
You are also on your toes when on knees.
Now my big toes are jacked. Being in the trade nobody ever mentioned this.

They make knee pads that have padding in the calf as well. So you can basically put weight in that area, like sitting.

At 55 my knees are fine. Toes not so much

Do they make them in a Kamala Signature Series?
