I use AA a lot and they’re typically decent… but… when they have a fuck up it’s never just a minor fuck up… it’s a full blown disaster. I’ve never had an easy challenge with them.

Renting a car gonna meet Bryan and AJ and Taylor on Keylargo for dinner then on to Miami’s up the 1. Kids will dig the drive and scenery. At enterprise now. Plane leave direct Malia LAX. Tomorrow 10:45

There’s a lot of super rich, a lot of probably below poverty line. A lot of working class. It’s Los Angeles on the bay essentially. lol. I wouldn’t compare it to havasu as far as party atmosphere. They party on the water and have fun but it’s just different. Lot of yachts. Lot of keeping up with the Jones dick measuring, look at me shit. It’s expensive, it’s busy. I dont come to Florida to go to Miami. It’s a cool place to check out once. Other than that it’s a passing through type thing.

We’re down in key largo for the night now. The keys are where it’s at for us. Boated Jupiter, palm beach, Miami, lauderdale, ft Myers, Sarasota, Daytona, etc. Keys are more laid back.

One of my favorite teen memories was in Islamorada. We went down to see my aunt who at the time with her ex husband owned a 54' black sailboat they custom built to go around the world. We went diving for slipper lobster, and several ship/plane wrecks along the keys. The sand there was very different from any place I'd ever been. Something I can still remember about it over 20 years later. The keys are an epic place. Looks like you guys had a blast.

To give them another shot. 4 first class tickets key west to Miami with a quick plane change in Dallas.

They notify (my wife only, not me) that our plane is delayed 3 hours and now we’ll
Miss connecting in Dallas, we’ll have to stay the night in Dallas and leave first thing in the morning to Oklahoma, 2 hour lay over and then get to LAX. Oh, and not enough 1st class room for all of us.

So, I say fuck that, after an hour phone call we change to a direct flight from Miami to lax. Still get first class but not all together. Rent a car, drive to Miami, rent a hotel (at the Miami’s international airport hotel, thoight it would be cool, come to find out it’s this schitz Carlton and reminiscent of the moscow hotel circa 1984 in mother Russia but clean beds at least).

No plane supposed to board at 10:15. It’s delayed til noon.

How in the FUCK does American stay in business.

If I go to the GMC dealer and order a 2024 Chevy 2500 with leather and they hand me a 2019 1500 with cloth, that’s ok?? You pay for and agree on a service. That’s what you should get.

Meanwhile rental car hotel, dinner, house sitter, car agency picking us up, kids missing another day of School and an ortho appointment all Have to be adjusted and paid for. That’s just ok? So now when you book a trip you have to make sure the day going and day coming home have built in extra day to accommodate the airlines failure to perform?!

Im seriously thinking of writing a letter to the president of the company, Pete buttplug and send copies to LA times, NY times and whomever else I can think of.

I've had 2 major shit experiences flying, both times AA. Fuk that airline, same deal, overnight delays and could care less.
