Key West anyone?

We are going and have had a few friends already state they were interested in joining us. It'd be fun to make it a big party.

I just made plane reservations today for June 14-20. Flying out on a red-eye on the 13th. I hate to waste a day of vacation flying. We'll hit the island running at 10:30 am. :champagne:

Maybe we can get AJ to meet us down there and take us on a boat ride :skull

We are considering renting Harley's in Miami and riding down if anyone else is interested, but we don't want to do that if it's just us. We'll just rent them on the island for 2 days instead of 7.

Three things I didn't get to do last time and want to this time: go on a fishing excursion, kayak the canals and swim with the dolphins. Oh, and I missed the butterfly place also. Walked by it 20 times, but never went in. Definitely want to do the Harley ride again, whether we rent in Miami and ride down or rent in Key West, we'll decide as it gets closer. Pretty much plan on drinking and having sex the rest of the time :skull

We've been to the Pirate museum, that was really cool. The aquarium sucked. "Kelly's" makes a fantastic dinner. Any suggestions will be welcome

Oh, we'll be celebrating Jeff's 40th birthday as well.

Kyak Rental best is Pennecamp State Park Key Largo Great Total day back and forth from the Gulf and Atlantic Great Time Actually ftom Marathon Up to Key Largo is Worth Hanging around with the Day Trip from KeyLargo on Rental Scooters to Key West then Back..Lots of Killer Places. For Sure Zane Grey Lounge Above World Wide Sportsman:thumbsup

That is the plan, Ross. As soon as I get the location of our stay, I'll let you know so you can find a place nearby if you like. There are lots of hotels, the Southernmost on the Beach is really nice, all rooms have ocean views, but it's at the very end of Duval, and we'd like to stay more in the center, so it's only a mile walk either way. So we're looking to rent a small house with other small houses nearby.

The owner of that place ticked me off. They only accept rentals from Sat to Sat. So I'm coming in on Monday leaving Sunday, but was willing to pay for Sun-Sun. Wouldn't do it. ????? They have NO bookings on the calendar after New Years, and June-Sept is the slow season. I figure they must not need to rent the place much if they are turning down a full week in June because we are one day off. Totally ridiculous. So, it turns out, I found a better place anyway.
