Is anyone familiar with this saw? Is the arm supposed to drop itself? Can I adjust the blade speed or how fast it drops? Tank on the bottom for water and fluid? I’m assuming it will pump to the blade and fall back into the tank? I need to cut some coupons but this thing needs a little love

There should be a valve that slows the drop rate of the saw from fast to slow or even stopped.. I’m not sure if it’s variable speed or not most horizontal saws I had were not. Yes the coolant drops on the blade and carries across and then back down into the tank.

Kinda hard to see but that lever on the back left maybe your hydraulic adjustment.. most the ones I worked with had the adjustment kinda close to the work piece so you could adjust while you were getting things going

Funny this was posted. 30 minutes ago I just got off the phone with my cousin who needs to borrow my horizontal band saw to cut some bar and pipe. Harbor Freight at its finest!

Ok that’s blade speed. I can get some fluid in here and that should at least get me by but I’ll have to drop it manually. I can’t wait to get back home to my shop 😂 I’ve had just about enough of Utah.

I have a friend who had a very similar looking saw (I forget the model #) it didn't have a valve for down feed pressure. It had some spring assist that didnt work well, was great for ripping teeth of the band if you didn't baby sit it.

The little lever right next to the clamp is the control for the drop speed. The blade speed is right where you found it. It’s like a CVT drive on a RZR. There should also be a switch next to the clamp adjustment that turns on the coolant flow and a couple of valves on the blade guides to adjust how much flow you need (most of the time those valves are plugged and you end up squirting your fluid yourself).

Heck yea thank you you’re the man!! The little black lever is just what I was looking for.
