Eliminator pulled my boat off the trailer to do the interior so we decided to send the trailer back to extreme for a redo.

- adding an axle so I can hang with the schiadas
- changing to aluminum 18’s on low profile tires
- adding wide stainless fenders
- upgrading the lighting to the new cut in style and landing lights down the center
- added a front ladder
- new wiring and new paint

Worked about to be about half the cost of building a new trailer and basically the trailer is new again and much more curent looking.

I fully understand triple axle trailers look badass. Please don't be offended but they SUCK for manueverability, parking lots, gas stations, etc. I do understand you can jack up 1 axle & tie it off & run on 2 but you can also be prepared with extra parts for your 2 over-built axles etc. I'm more function over from. I'm certain your trailer is gonna look badass when complete.

Doesn't 3 axles mean a boat becomes a trailer queen? Oh yea the boat ain't a schiada

I still don’t get the hate for triples. If we did this thing called performance boating for functionality we would all be screwed. I think every boat deserves triples. Over the top trailer for over the top boats. We don’t have bayliners.

I'm not hating at all. I absolutely LOVE the look of triples. I boat a lot and trailer a ton of miles. I have an ugly aluminum trailer with overkill tandem axles and boring wheels because it goes in & out of salt several times per year. I also LOVE the fact that everyone is different. I have a ton of respect for One A Day and his passion for boating. This trailer will look & perform very well just like all of his boats.

To each their own, just like the boats we all drive and every one of us has a very different perspective what your favorite boating day is.

I have no need for a third axel , so just curious, do they relocate the two existing and add a third for proper weight distribution?

They continue to build a very nice trailer. I am very happy with my new one too!

Is there a limit to what LT tires will hold? Would love to convert from trailer tires to LT on my triple axle trailer(Hallett 270)

The weight limits and psi requirements are on every tires sidewall. Problem is finding lower profile load rated tires. But often an extra load car tire will exceed the weight when six tires are involved. What size tire/wheel are you looking into

Wow, I'm been wanting to do this for a long time .. Just one question,
How do you know where to move all three axles, is they a formula you
go by or do you just wing it ??

I sure like SJPs DW Mitco aluminum trailer with two axles. Big trailer tires that handle some weight if needed.

His trailer is much better looking than my Manning but built similar. I like to know I can throw 200 gallons of fuel in our boat and not worry about overloading the trailer or tires.

They removed the two and then installed all three per the template on their new trailers, they also move them around a bit depending on if the boat is an outboard, twins, etc.

Not really sure, it's a 15" wheel so probably something 225 x 55 series...

They all need to be level, maybe an inch or 2 higher at the hitch, with triples you'll need to get really close to level. The risk of over loading the lead axle or trailing axle are greater. love the triple set-up

Im pretty anal about the level thing, i installed a RV level on the tongue so I know I am good when towing and also when its parked in the garage, I have to have it level in the garage (meds dont help for that)

Careful doing that. You may get into some insurance problems should you have a blowout that causes an accident. A friend of mine was towing his Toyota/buggy up I-50 to the Rubicon and lost a tire that in turn took out his trailer fender...which then smashed into a passing car. He had LT tires on his trailer and it was noted on the police report. His insurance denied his claim for using "inappropriate equipment" on his trailer. I was quite a mess.

I personally towed a crap ton of miles with E rated LT tires after going through several trailer tires.

Damn, never thought about that. Fortunately I'm only towing slow speed(2 miles) to the launch ramp. Definitely good info to be considered though.

Looks great!

I’ve never understood the triple axle maneuverability thing. I’ve never had an issue with any of my triples. In super sharp turns the tires just drag but it’s not like the trailer ever refused to turn

for me its VERY noticable when I'm trying to back my trailer into my garage around a 90* turn. the tires/friction are fighting me the whole time, and going uphill, etc it just doesnt turn. yet when I toss four wheel dollies under two axles and leave the center alone, making it a single axle trailer, it pivots easily. you can literally see the tires pulling on the rims. the second i lift em off the ground with the dolly everything snaps back into place. the amount of torque on everything is pretty crazy.
