No, improper fuels management and idiots camping in the brush are the blame. Fire captains need to have the balls to call a spade a spade, but nope, let’s toe the BS agenda.

Back when I was a kid, we’d jump in the station wagon and so a day road trip in Northern California. Hit these small towns in the Sierra’s and they pretty much were the same. A saw mill, logging trucks loaded, running down small roads. As time went on, they all disappeared. So did forest management, maintenance of access roads, and a ready and able labor force to squash small fires quickly.
Now, our green forests have turned to ash as Mother Nature takes over managing her assets.
