When I was bear hunting (bow) I Always had my 500 Mag strapped on!

There was a good time to let one fly , but he flinched. Overall he was doing the right thing, his dog was NOT helping though, just pissing the bear off more.

If he had bird shot or 00 better to let it eat the barrel first then pull the trigger....else it's just gonna piss it off more.

Slugs I'd had taken a shot at him when it showed broadside on the second lap. But you'd be lucky to kill it, need pretty good firepower to actually knock one down.

That scenario would scare the white off Jesus....I've never let one get that close, always dumped when it was at least 30 yrds away, with much better firepower.

Shows you how fucking fast and gnarly they are though, nothing to fuck around and find out with!

i'd never go bear hunting with only 2 shots......or any hunting, you never know

.357 mag as backup, always......180gr solids, no matter the game
