Amazing how big this country is
I haven’t really noticed before but there was a section of Wyoming that I swear we went over a hundred miles and never saw a tree
Here are some pics from Wyoming
South Dakota and North Dakota

I think he's driving home with his mom?
If so, hope the new car is working out good!

I traveled through Wyoming a couple years ago on our way to S. Dakota pulling my toy hauler ..... spent the whole time looking for gas stations. Don't ever assume there will always be one! .... lol

That’s the truth
Just because there is a town doesn’t mean there is a gas station

At least there are some hills and mountains to see in the background. I remember driving through Texas and thinking, “Maybe the Earth is flat?” A whole lot of nothing out there.

Safe travels.

Driving through southern Idaho is just beautiful. Nothing but wide open spaces.

I stumbled across some country in central Cali this year that was amazing as well.

I'll be driving with my daughter up to Washington soon. Really looking forward to that road trip.

Or that it will be open when you get there. "Bang head"
Thankfully we had a 5 gallon can for that kind of emergency.

I drove truck running 48 states and Canada, my office view changed all day long, probably the only thing I miss about that job

The American West has stunning views of the natural beauty of our country.

I hate to threadcrap in Dan's thread, but I have to point out something. Imagine those pristine prairies with hundreds of wind turbines stretching for miles. That's what our future holds.

I’ve made a few road trips from FL to Sandpoint ID over the years. I always like the stretch of 90 from Spearfish to Billings. The Crow reservation around the Little Bighorn valley.

Some truth to that sign. My brother-in-law lives in Casper. When he first moved there with his wife and children. His youngest child's first words were "windy".

My son is looking at a welding school in Gillette. I told him his lowered Honda will catch less wind but it may not have enough weight so he better add some sand bags. I still don't know if he thinks I'm joking. 🤣

My brother-n-law used to commute to work in an older Miaita and would get blown all over the road

I much prefer driving the highways of the US West over the highways of the US Southeast, through those forests of solid pines. That’s boring!

I made multiple trips to CO last summer and a trip to Iowa to get my Z06 and then to MI to buy my boat. Rolled I-80 through Wyoming and it was always VERY windy and it is a long state! The stretch just east of Salt Lake going to the Wyoming border was beautiful and really the only nice scenery of the whole stretch.

One of my favorites is the Gallup Sandstone formation, an area of beautiful red sandstone cliffs just east of Gallup, NM. Some sections are visible from I-40.

Red Rocks State Park is nearby, and the views are fantastic.

There’s MANY people living in this country that think the whole place looks like the big city they live in - they can’t even imagine what our REAL COUNTRY is all about. Many places you can shoot a gun, the bullet slows down, and falls to the ground, having no chance to hit ANYTHING! Dan, nice win - spend time w/mom while you get connected back to real life- love it!

If I ever had a view like the one in picture 5/6 and didn't know damn well I'd be at the river in less than 2 hours, I'd probably unclip my seat belt and roll the truck on purpose to end it. I hate driving....it's a thing I deal with for a brief period of bliss when I get to play with my boat. The wife made me drive 8 hours to see her parents once....and I did it ONCE. I'm not quite sure how you guys enjoy driving across the country...maybe you have a better back than I do
