..,.When I lived aboard, there was a guy that came around and hand lettered boat transom‘s… He was really good and it wasn’t all that expensive …but I’m sure he is long deceased… Then along came vinyl and changed the whole game.., but the diehards still wanted their transoms lettered by hand…

Here's a couple pix of a car I ran across a few days ago that JImmyC striped. Rat Fink is not an airbrush or a vinyl sticker and yes he is authorized to sign Ed Roth's name. ...or so it appears.

This one of a kind custom-painted "Rat Fink" Gretsch was master-built by Stephen Stern, and is based on the G6120DSW Relic platform. The graphic on this one was painted by SoCal artist "JimmyC Kustom Art".

I agree too it’s embarrassing having vinyl numbers right now. I had bob Thompson do mine years ago on my jet boat. Current boat had painted but when I moved to az I got new numbers. Needs to be fixed maybe I’ll do a havasu trip get them painted and be happy again
