Just wondering who can do a "reflash"

Currently have a 2013 Malibu 247 with the monsoon 409. 6.0 liter.

Would like to do a reflash, to get a few more horses out of it, is it as simple as that sounds?

Any suggestions or references?

I've been playing with ski boats for a long time and I have seen this question go unawnsered every time its asked. I would'nt trust the car folks to do it, and I would imagine it would be prohibitavely expensive to have someone like Boostpower take it out and put it on their dyo and tune it.

I called gt performance and got your answer. It "could" be done but it's going to cost a ton

Call Whipple and see what they have to say.

Post it up if Whipple has an answer, I'm curious. I would bet it would be cheaper to sell that boat and buy another with a BBC or a blower. Here in Texas the biggest motor doesn't seem to hold its value very well after a few years.

Not sure what your are trying to accomplish here. More HP via a tune will yield virtually no noticeable nor measurable performance gains in that hull. I'm not knocking it but that is likely the reality. If you want to go faster I would change hulls.

Just wondering, dealer charges almost a 3k upcharge. Figured there may be noticeable difference. I certainly don't need it, boat does great the way it is, but if there was a way to get few more horses by a reflash then why not. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I wouldn't go to a whipple or any other forced induction. I usually have 2 props. For heavy surf days and cruise the lake days. One does amazing pulling and holding cruise control speeds when we are doing watersports, the other let's me hit 47-48 fairly easy loaded.

Just thinking maybe the 30-40 hp releases some strain from the motor? If it's not noticeable or necessary then I wouldn't even bother.
