In Willow Valley a lot of us buy an Indian beach pass ($100) so we can use their beach. I have paid for this pass for 15 years and it has been good because you can drive straight down to the beach to unload your EZ-ups and coolers.

As of today the Indians are putting up a barrier so we can no longer drive all the way to the water. We will have to park away from the high point water mark which will make a parking nightmare. If you are familiar with the area you know what I am talking about.

It is the Indians property so the can do whatever they want but I am not sure they will get my $100 this year. I can just use the Willow Valleys private beach for free.

I am just giving a heads up to the locals.

Is it next to the fenced off area that belongs to the indians?

Dang that sucks. A lot of locals in fort Mohave are going to be bummed. The big weekends they tow out their water slide and that beach is packed.

Is this only at the 1st beach north of the gated beach? Aka “Second Beach?”

All the other beaches above are being left untouched?

They wouldn't get my money.

Ah that’s a bummer because your money does come back around. The FMIT is good people, they spend a hefty chunk with us every year which definitely helps support our community. Sorry to hear about the beach though!

yea this kinda sucks and I don't understand the rationale behind this decision.

The full time/ locals may address this in their own unique ways late at night.

The irony of a "Don't tread on me" flag, parked on an Indian Reservation beach, in a thread about closing access to beach is just priceless....

Most of that beach is rocky, it’s always too crowded and you get dusted out almost every time someone drives away.

With the hard pack sand no longer available to get a running start, I wonder how many more vehicles will get stuck.

Sounds like a shithole then.

It's a nice beach. We have been saying for years, the indians should invest in some sort of Credit Card App like square and accept credit cards on the spot. No one minds paying, but the process of obtaining the daily / yearly beach permit is not intuitive, indians operate on minimal hours, it's almost like they don't really wan't you to be on the beach to begin with.

Improve the beach, put a few trash cans on it, charge a few bucks more for the convenience and run it like a business. Open the indian only beach next to it (that in 6 years I have never seen anyone use) and charge accordingly, everyone wins.
