That squirt on the deck is most definitely bird shit. Sorta like putting a tube of toothpaste under a car tire.

The rest is what is left of a seagull who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I talked with em later that week when I got down to Key West. They were going 154 when it happened.

Can u guys imagine trying to walk on,, or touch a black boat in Havasu in July or August?...

He pays people to lay on the boat and he just walks across their backs so he doesn't burn his feet.:thumbsup

Not bad at DS he said he paid 2.2 wonder how many times he used it since then. over $100K loss each time he drove it.

Just checked both these were new at DS. this one was big ass football player. Black boat whats he do?

Terminator 48MTI, has 1350s, Haynesworth's boat.. I was told he recently bought an 80ft sport yacht..

ZR48, belongs to Derek.. Lives in Oklahoma.. works in the OIL business, extremely wealthy guy..

I take it you haven't seen it in person

Saw the last one he had, all in all just a complete waste of money. You could have the best Skater ever built for under $1m. All the lights, speakers and customization can certainly be appreciated, but truly holds little to no value.

The Vette Boat looked horrible at DS this year. I don't know who he payed to detail it, but the swirl marks were insane. No way I would have a boat of that caliber and size and not do graphics of some sort.

X2!! All I hear is how bad ass it is, but the only time I've seen it was at DS and I walked away thinking "that has the worst finish I've ever seen."

I think for these guy's the fun in it is building the boats. Once there done they use them a couple of times and get bored. So they build another. I wonder what it would be like to have more money than God? :headscratch:

I googled Albert Haynesworth looks like he was cut last month. Going from 5.4 to 1.5 base. Thats not enough to be spending 2 mill on a boat to resell for a mill less at end of year to buy another.

Now the Oil guy heard he does this every year just sends them tyo Barrett and takes the hit. Looks like Pier 57 buys them up and tries to flip them.

Horrible is the wrong word. Its a 48MTI, so its still amazing.. Did I see the swirl marks, yes I did, and I didnt think it looked perfect in the sun, but then again, look at the size of it?... its very difficult to detail a boat that big and that black, and have everything perfect.. Anyone's thats owned a black truck/car knows how frustrating it is. If its used, it will never look perfect... He had already put that boat in the salt prior to DS, so the cleanup looked great to me... This is a 48ft boat.. And he drove it 3days to get there from OK..

He doesn't put graphics on his boats.. .. Its a ZR1 Corvette theme boat, its supposed to have that sleek, black, fast look...His other MTI44, was all red, still a corvette boat, but with 1200s, ZR48 has 1350s..

Please don't this the wrong way, just my opinion on that ZR48.

I'm guessing that the LED lights on the trailer cost more than my entire boat!

PR388 I understand you have an opinion as well. Mine was and still is the finish on that is horrible, therefore to me that is the right word. If the man can afford a multi million dollar package he can afford to spend several thousand on the upkeep. I have built and been around show cars a good part of my life and you can make and keep a black finish like a mirror with enough work. I know guys that could make that boats finish look like a mirror again with enough time and money. Knowing what I know I would never have a black boat. Too hot in Havasu and too much of a pain (maintenance/cost)to keep looking good.

Now the design and hardware of the boat is as you say amazing. No doubt about that. The craftsmanship is amazing and I like how he had the boat built. I'm sure the guys at MTI were very proud of the way it turned out.
Honestly I also like Albert Haynesworth boat a lot more because I liked the graphics. That's all about personal taste. Some people like Rat Rods while others like the Pro Stock Look. I like the loud look. Give me loud colors and tastefully done graphics and I'm all good. My favorite boat is the Looney Tunes Boat. I love the graphics on the outside of the hull and the way it was carried inside the engine compartment. But to each his own.
Your spot on about the cost of the Lugo Trailers. Its hell to think his trailer is worth more than my house...

Anyhow its all good and can't wait to see what he brings out to DS this year:eek:

Sounds Good Warlock! We are cool!... Ya, can u believe the trailer costs that much lol, unreal..... I had heard on OSO that he recently purchased a Cig 39CC, but i don't know which boat he's bringing to DS.. I also liked the Looney Tunes boat, the detail was really cool..

I think the ZR48 will be a hard boat to sell, what do u think ??

I know right, 250k for cutting and welding metal together. That kind of stuff is fun for me I couldn't imagine being able to make a living doing that. My wife would never see me. Well come to think of it she would probably help me:p

Since his last two boats were MTI's I would think he would have went with something like a Carbon Fiber Outerlimits or something really exotic like that. I'm sure though he will deck it out as much as any boat can be. Its nice to see what people come up with money isn't a concern.

I think he sold his red boat along with the corvette at Barrett Jackson, so I would imagine he would do the same with this one. This kind of money is so far out of my league I absolutely wouldn't even begin to guess who would buy it. I couldn't even buy the tires on the Vette:D

Oh what it would be like to be able to just show up somewhere and get in my boat and just drive. Pull it back to the dock and tell my "guys" to have it at this next event so I could fly in and drive it again.

:champagne: cheers my friend and can't wait till DS this year......going to be a blast
