Eastbound is back open. Rice road is closed from the 62 to 95

Thought I read a portion of Amboy Rd. was also washed out???

Hope to be heading home when Larry’s done putting in windows so if anyone tests the
I-10 1 lane EB route, please let me know how that goes.

If you have 4 wheel drive, you can go from Salton Sea to Blythe. This route is not for the inexperienced! Lol

My in laws just left Parker a few hours ago. Went through Vidal and the 177 the whole way. It’s open. Definitely some standing water in low spots, but open all the way to the 10.

We drove through the storm on Rice yesterday and had to drive around the downed power poles.

Thought I saw on Cal Trans page that 62 was also closed from 2.5 miles east of 29 Palms to 95 ~ Vidal. Haven’t looked for a few hours though.

I went in a dirt bike ride on that trail years ago. Was nice but also went on it a few years ago and the sxs bumps were bad I can’t imagine it now going in a truck f that.

I just read an article apparently they were reconstructing the I 10 in that area new eastbound lanes and what they did is they got it ready over the last 12 hours and have traffic and one lane in the new eastbound lanes they’re Abandoning the old eastbound lane. Good timing apparently
