Before I even start, let me tell you that I'm following intently and love most, don't like some, but whatever..

What I can tell you is one of my resolutions for 2025 is to try and get rdp back to a boating & custom website. We literally have a section for politics, so can we keep it in there? If the regulars in there are too big of bullies or just out of control I'll get rid of them and we can just make it the normal politics section.. but we have a section for several reasons..

1. to make it easy to find and learn what's going on in the world.
2. so when I open the lounge we can read about what is going on in peoples lives and on trips etc..

Can we make rdp great again? or do I need to get a DOrdpE going here.. LOL.

I've been a member on a Hunting and Firearm forum since 2007, use to be a great site with a lot of like minded folks. The Political forum has gotten so bad that I feel it has almost ruined the whole site. I rarely post in the political section there but it has really soured my view on a lot of people people I have known for close to 20 years. I use to love catching up with at the National Hunting shows. The TDS there is out of control.

Went to one of the main international shows last week in Nashville. Met up with 2 people on the site. Use to chat with 20+.

I’m ona MMA forum that has a political section that’s out of bounds. The stuff people say and do is ridiculous. But they don’t let it spill over into other sections. If I want politics I search for that specifically.

I come here for the boat/off-road content, stories and the wealth of knowledge that goes with that. I also enjoy the trip threads and the I love California one! I actually enjoy the California hate threads as much as the ones that support it. Ive posted what could be considered a political post but to me they were more comedy than political.

At the end of the day I come here to relax talk a little shit and enjoy the boats, cars, utv and miscellaneous stuff that makes this place entertaining.

if the political section disappears I wouldn’t notice.

100% agreed, when buddies want to discuss this stuff anymore to no end they usually leave me alone when I respond "I'm rich and don't have time to be bothered with such things" regardless of how much $$ I have i've taken on that mindset, hahahaha

It's everywhere and you will never rid the site of it IMO no matter how hard you try.

I read it - Comment sometimes.

Some stuff is over the top at times but it is what it is and makes for good entertainment.

Some of the meme groups I'm in on Facebook have turned into nothing but politics which is insane, but I did get pretty drunk on Sunday and fanned the flames.

People having differing opinions is fine. What I can't stand is when people are so dense that they can't have a somewhat open discussion. Not expecting to change anyones opinion but that is what is wrong with America and our political climate today. Used to folks could agree to disagree and move on with their lives. Now if you disagree you are racist, homophobic, etc......

It has become emotional politics, when everyone needs to get back to voting with their wallet.
