30k+ people a day going from Rancho Cucamonga to LV? Is that a real number?
I'd believe that many a day make the trek, but the reporter claims 30k a day will ride the train. That's over 40 trains a day. figure 20 something each way at 2 hours per trip and no dwell time to onboard and off board passengers, they're going to need to make the days longer to get all those trips in.30k+ people a day going from Rancho Cucamonga to LV? It won't be good for the economy. Just like amtrack, metrolink, or any other passenger train service in the US it will be highly subsidized with our tax dollars. It’s a good pilot project for high speed rail. If they can’t make this route work financially or otherwise. None of them will work here in the southwest.
Being in Rancho, the addition traffic this project will potentially bring doest’t thrill me. Probably be good for local economy once up and running though.

BNSF Barstow? Yes that will be big.I’m more interested in the port they are doing in the desert. Going to be a lot of work
Yup they announced the contract with bnsf at our delegates meeting.BNSF Barstow? Yes that will be big.
Hustle up and get it doneYup they announced the contract with bnsf at our delegates meeting.
I’m very curious to how it works. I’d love to work at the international in Vegas but I don’t want to leave Norco. If any of these rails make sense the Vegas to LA one makes the most sense. If they offer a rountrip package I can see it doing very well. I'd ride it if I was a SoCal resident and wanted to go on a Vegas weekend trip.
Brightline does Orlando to Miami and that ride is pretty reasonable.
I believe Brightline is also looking at doing a Vegas to Salt Lake in the near future as well.
What’s the advantage to catching a flight from Ontario? If any of these rails make sense the Vegas to LA one makes the most sense. If they offer a rountrip package I can see it doing very well. I'd ride it if I was a SoCal resident and wanted to go on a Vegas weekend trip.

Yea I read some ridiculous price. That will have to changeI read they were going charge 3 or 400 roundtrip!![]()
You mean "be subsidized"...Yea I read some ridiculous price. That will have to change
The train doesn’t stop. There are a lot of Jobs in the desert between LA and LV. That will fill a bunch of seats.
$50k-$80k vehicles and $5k a year insurance payments will increase foot traffic.
I’m not ruling it out.![]()
Story said just Victimville. They say it has 2 stops, one in Victorville, the other in Barstow?
Personally, this Vegas train is designed to make that Train to Nowhere Turd in Bakersfield seem plausible.
Brightline West will connect Southern California and Las Vegas in two hours or almost half the time as driving. The Las Vegas Station will be located near the iconic Las Vegas Strip, on a 110-acre property north of Blue Diamond Road between I-15 and Las Vegas Boulevard. The site provides convenient access to the Harry Reid International Airport, the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium. The station is approximately 80,000 square feet plus parking. They say it has 2 stops, one in Victorville, the other in Barstow?

I’m thinking if they haven’t already made it through SCE planning. No way on 2028 completion. Is Vegas taking bets on this 2028 completion date?
