I bought this barge.. game plan is to make a structure on the back of it with a couple of beds / bathroom and AC.. barge is 12x35

Park it in coves and rent it out as an on the water air bnb.

By leaving the front of it open though we can haul side by sides and cars across the lake for a charge..

I got more uses for this thing.. elevated photo platform.. giant party deck..

I dunno how I ever lived without a barge?

Getting a sxs across the lake would be awesome. Beats the hell out of driving all the way around.

@RiverDave - if you might AirBnB this thing, how would insurance work? Houseboat policy, etc., just wondering what can you just opened to protect yourself. Also what is the capacity of the deck.

Sweet! This is a project I could get behind.

Do you anticipate needing ballast tanks to offset weirdly placed weight?

We just restored our Barge. Built it in 1996 and re did it over the past Winter. We also have a 15x10 swimstep on the back that gets tons of use. That was a great addition. ( could put sxs on that as well.

Barge’s are awesome in hot weather areas!

Any idea what it was used for in its previous life?

is it at Havasu now? Or do you have to relocate it?

Really bad idea...but could be fun, if not legal:
Four poster setup, lights, (poles maybe?) and a Boom Bandits style setup!

if you park that in the channel like you did the f350 at McDs how many easy up spots can you block?

I bet you’d be pretty successful shuttling boats back and forth for service.

Can’t wait to see what you do with it

maybe he could block the whole channel and setup a toll booth? Could prob make a quick mil in no time flat.

It's only 35' long.. it isn't any bigger than my pontoon. Can't block the channel?
