Hope you are feeling better soon. Any respiratory problems?

Yup, that would be a positive test for sure. Over the counter cold and flu medicine worked for me. Keep moving and get fresh air.

Wife just got over the vid. Wasn't terrible this time. Only felt real bad for 4 or so days. Tylenol and Nyquil. She locked herself in the bedroom for 7 days. Kids and I came out unscathed.

Hope you're feeling better soon. There's a non-Covid virus going around with some similar symptoms including fever and body aches

Not trying to be a dick, but why does everyone run out and COVID test everytime they don't feel good?? Parents do this crap too with kids. I don't get it.
I think it’s the people who haven’t had it that do. To be honest I took a rapid test when I was curious if it finally got me after 2 years.

I have had a cold / cough for about a week now. I took the test Monday to be sure I wasn't ( even though I knew I didn't have it my mind) positive before I went trick & treating with grandkids and family. = negative
Took another test last night because today I am going down to help my mom out and just wanted to be sure nothing had changed and that I just had a normal cold.
Yes.... there is such a thing still as a normal cold.

I’m getting over it . Well I didn’t test but I feel the same way I did in July when I did test and had it. So I assume that I have it again. Been a week since feeling off, but no fever just the cough, sore throat, and little tired.

I don’t understand why people are still testing for this…. It’s been proven time and time again to be nothing more than a cold or a flu.
For me, it is still a work requirement. If you are sick and miss work, they want you to test prior to returning if your symptoms are similar to the China virus.

The company changed the “Covid response team” name to ”Public Health Awareness” group. They sent an e mail out about monkey pox when that was a thing…I laughed my ass off. Total waste of money but I would imagine they are just trying to mitigate any risk.

Yes. I’m taking over the counter Vick nighttime formula, it seems to help.

I went to The Who concert in Phoenix on Sunday. I knew something was wrong Tuesday night around 9PM.

I have two jabs. But didn’t get one this year. Wife got hers a couple weeks ago, so we’ll have to see if her jab works.

Because I got those kits for free ( minus what I paid in personal taxes).

Technology has surpassed your mother. If your kid is sick longer than a day or two, you take them to the doctor. You don’t want to wait for hospitalization. These swab tests confirm what’s up.

If I got any worst, they have other another shot, that minimizes the symptoms. I probably won’t get the Covid jab this year, now that I have been confirmed.

In the back of my mind, I’m evaluating if those two jabs saved my life, or had no effect.

Covid is still hanging around, it's never going to go away. I hope your recovery is quick and easy.

We had one in our group end up with Covid on our Texas trip, she was the only one with hand sanitizer and a mask.

Basically the stuff has no prejudice. Recover soon

I just saw this during a search. I’m definitely Covid positive. I’m finishing day 3 of symptoms, an exhausted.

I’m hoping tomorrow is better.

you didn’t get your 18 booster ?
I didn’t get my 2022 booster.
So far my wife/nurse is not positive. She’s not wearing a mask around me, but is staying at arm length away from me. She got her booster about 4 weeks ago.
I was waiting for 12 months before I got another one. 45 days short of the mark.

If we call our kid out of school sick, they are still requiring a negative Covid test to return to school after 24 hours of being fever free. My daughter usually has sinus and allergy issues, so we had her healthcare provider document her underlying condition (e.g., sinus infection, allergies), so she can return to school without a test.

When I asked the school why do I need to test if I follow the 24hr rule (same rule we followed prior to Covid in our house), they had no good answer. Got the, “it’s now the law answer.” I wanted to continue the conversation and debate the law BS answer, but the wife said let’s go (her way of telling me to STFU).

Last month I was feeling off (sinus infection), so I called Dr to get some meds. Dr asked if I tested for Covid. I asked, are results going to change what medicine you give me and was told NO. We just need to know who gets Covid, so we can recommend the vaccine and booster. Limiting what someone can do based on the juice is just another form of segregation (I thought this country was against that).

If I am not feeling good i stay away from others and do what I did prior to Covid (hunker down, stay away from folks, postpone any customer meetings, etc), until feeling better. Still amazes me, how folks forgot how to act when sick. Now if someone is sick, they take a Covid test then determine what to do. We just need to go back to what we did when sick prior to Covid! The sick rules did not change, everyone’s mindset on how to act when sick did.

Problem is with testing, just went through it not too long ago, My GF and i both tested positive for over 10-11 days, long time to be off work especially if your bonus is tied to it like me, so not only do you feel like shit it also cost you 15k in my case.

My mom came back from Italy and had strong cold like symptoms. She tested positive for covid. Why this was important is the typically hangs with other 80+ year old people who are very compromised. Her doc said isolate for 10 days and your good to go. Doc told her many people test positive for ad long as 90 days. The real piss off is how many different policies/laws, work rules and opinions being thrown out by schools, employers and doctors. The crack up I'd how butt hurt people get when they hear that people are still testing for the rona. I really don't trust the govt responses, but the test are paid for so maybe you could spare someone the exposure. Went to a Memorial Day bbq and one family spread covid to 17 people.

Was that 1 person feeling off (sick) before they showed up to the BBQ?
If yes, then why did that person show up. If feeling off (sick), they should have stayed home.
If no, they had no reason to test. So blaming them for spreading C19 seems harsh.

Yes they were feeling sick. I didn't know that the daughter was sleeping in the house cuz she wasn't feeling good. The father was sneezing and was cooking food. They are total anti vaxers,( not that I totally trust the back) believe covid is just a cold and also think the world is flat. They would never test, yet showed up sick and f'd nearly everyone at the bbq.

Day 6 COVID-19 update.

We can officially say that the Covid Vaccine did Not stop my wife from getting COVID-19. She woke up this morning with mild symptoms, and took a rapid test…it’s positive. She is not as sick as me, so far.

Should be another interesting winter.

Could you elaborate on this? I'm due for my Shingles shot and was thinking about getting my first one this week.

I got my first shot and felt fine, some body aches but that was about it. I had my 2nd shot on Friday afternoon and felt really bad all day on Saturday. Body aches, really tired, kind of felt like the Rona to be honest.

Woke up Sunday and felt fine. When my wife got her 2nd shot, she felt ill for 3 days. I would just plan for some downtime after your 2nd for sure.

My wife is in the other room, but seems to only have minor stuff up head. No chills. I think she will be ok.

I recommend you go buy the a two bottle package of Vick cold and flu, and have it ready. Also I suggest 3 cases of bottled water.

Both my wife an I decided not to go with the Paxlovid or monoclonal treatment plan. You need to start it within about 2 days, and the treatment can get a little ruff On the body.

If my BMI was obese, and I had a fever, and a history of night time breathing issues, I’d go in and get that shot. Especially if I haven’t been jab in the past 6 months. I had 3 jabs. My last one was in Dec 2021. I should have had two more by now, so I was not fully vaccinated.
