My dad said basically the same thing. He said the older he got the faster time went. Boy he was right. After high school time was like a blur.
The older you get, loose parents and friends the more you realize your own mortality. Or more like the awareness of how fast "your time" will arrive.

I’ll be 60 in June , never did I think I would live to be 60 ( not there yet )
I know that feeling too fell. I leave the house at 4:15 and don't get home until after 7. My 3 year old might still be up but not often, my 19 month old is always in bed. I leave by noon on Fridays no ifs, ands or buts so I can spend time with them and don't work weekends. It is something I really struggle with, the worst is seeing them go down Sunday evening and know you won't see them until they get up Saturday morning.
