I went today and most of the show never happened. A few planes flew above the clouds throughout the morning, which we could hear but not see. At around 3:00 the sky's cleared just in time for the Thunderbirds and one Super hornet which finished the show.

I was at Costco on Katella near Los Al air base. About a hundred people standing with cameras out. Five or six plane formations.

A four jet formation made a top gun speed run low fly bye the tower that was deafening. They came around one by one to land. You could hear them spool up on the ground.

There was no noise abatement enforce.

Iam 70. I think I felt it move.

About the same, my weather indicator shows it’s gonna clear up between 10 and 11, which should be just perfect or at least partially clear

Did the offshore boats do the shortened "Rum Run" course out and back to Catalina yesterday. Didn't hear much about it -- wonder if they got enough entries to hold the race? I believe this was to be the 5th Annual with the Air Show.

Tons of e bikes still heading to HB from Westside Costa Mesa. It’s going to be a busy day regardless of the weather

Those Vietnamese Trump supporters would be my wife, but we have high ground. A lot of Trump flags out here. Of course we’re in Huntington Beach.

We need an offshore breeze right now right now it’s on shore and it’s keeping it against the coastline two blocks inland. It’s clear.

There’s a most resourceful guy on the block project Mercedes camper van at the curb this morning early set up his grill on the grass to the right of the bronze surfer statue got his dog and his cornhole. He’s good to go.

Now we set up a generator in the street , well it’s Huntington Beach. That’s how it is sometimes.

PCH from warner to Beach has some of the fastest bikes & cars stretching their legs out on that section, I was on my bike last week and a Camaro went by me like I was standing still I was close to a hundo, not uncommon to see a whole pack of guys riding wheelies.

Took my daughter down yesterday and it was foggy all day long. We ended up going bowling...

Hopefully it is bad karma on the city for trying to money grab everyone by gating off the entire beach from the pier all the way to Beach Blvd. They took up way more space than needed. The had more space blocked off for this than the Surf Open which is a way bigger event! Idiots.

I wonder if the event organizers will do a money grab from the city again because of fog. Dumb shits agreed to 40 more years of this BS.

I took my dog down for a run / swim at dog beach this morning around 8:00 . . . plenty of parking down there.
Came back a couple hour later & the lot was almost full.
Rolled south on PCH and there was a lot less traffic/ people than I expected.
Sun played peek-a-boo for a little bit 2 blocks inland . . . but the wall of haze over the beach has been pretty constant.
Almost 3:00pm now and have only heard 1 jet, and a helicopter all day.

Buddy of mine said he didn't make it but can't confirm.
Wife just text her HB cop friend and he said the guy was injured and conscious and did not die.
He did say last night a couple on a motorcycle riding on PCH hit a Homeless person and all 3 died.

We live right under the flight path behind just up the bluff from the hotels so get to see them practice and every year...its a bummer for all these folks that spend money to come here and setup at the beach or spend money on hotels to not really have a full show Fri-Sun...can't control mother nature, but still feel bad for folks that dedicated time and money to come see it.

I feel bad for the bike riders. One less homeless person to house.

I felt it was strange that some planes flew regardless of the clouds, but most didn't. When the Thunderbirds flew, they were often well below where the clouds had been.

Went out both days, heard a few jets but never saw one. Anchored about 1/2 mile off the pier, BBQ'd, boatload of family both days, still enjoyed it and will be out next year.

On edit: And five minutes ago we finally saw a few jets, we're thinking the Thunderbirds as they took of from NAS Los Alamitos, looked to be 4-5 in all.
