That being said, they prosecute very few people for this. Usually, if you lie on the application, you are denied a firearm and that's it. I don't think if this were anyone else it would have gone to trial. I also don't believe it is something that deserves jail time, as much as I would love to see that horrible person behind bars and face some consequences for being a certifiable POS. Give him a felony, he can never own a gun and he can no longer vote. But the tax trial is a whole different subject. However, I don't think he'll go to jail for that either.
