My cousin is looking for a Howard Custom Boats, Bellflower, CA emblem. Let me know what’s out there. Looking for an original not the flat reproduction ones. Thanks.

Did you try the Howard Custom Boat Company? They may have a few old ones in a box on a shelf?

I grew up in Bellfower and don’t remember Howard being there. Do you know the location of the shop. Maybe near Competitive trailer?

There was a guy that made throwback emblems and was selling them at the Parker Enduro at the shirt sales area. I don't think they were metal but they were not flat stickers.

Anyone know the guy?

No, not near Competitive which was the old Tahiti building. Howards first shop was on Lakewood Blvd, so was his second shop, on the West side of the street inbetween Compton and Rosecrans in a shared space with Genes Chrome, Larry Watson (legendary painter) and Pauls upholstery. The move to the shop above Rosecrans on the East side of the street came later but I don't know the exact year. When he rented a house from my parents in the mid 60s I believe he was still in the first shop.

You can just see the sign in this pic. At the very least he was here until '64 as theres a '64 Impala in the shot.

And the emblems for this first Paramount shop are extremely rare. Have a friend with flattie from this shop and if I'm not mistaken there's a decal, not an emblem.
Both look like this.

Forgot to show you where the other shop was @Bobby V. Head north on Lakewood, past Rosecrans and then on the right there's a little industrial place that has some old buildings. Howard was here for decades until he sold to Willen. Not being street front it was easy to miss.

Now that I think about it after posting the location and not having been there in 40 years, it might be the building next door and to the right. Big shop with the door open.
Fuck me, memory is going to shit.
