Just acquired a shop with some old fiberglass insulation. Ductape won’t stick to
It and the white covering is pretty brittle and rips easy in most spots. What’s a good poor person way of fixing it to at least look decent and keep from getting worse? Is there such a way?

The metal building suppliers have some 4 and 6 inch wide tape. You can seal the edges that are exposed to the metal, and then piece in other insulation to your taped seams.

It is expensive, but I patch holes and tears in my building with white Gorilla tape. Sticks real well.

Sheet metal screws and metal wire, diagonally to help keep it from sagging in the middle and were the insulation meets. You can use washers on the screws to give it a better surface to clamp the wire to the beam.
