How much should it cost to pour 16 x 20 slab

We have a storage building in the back, it has footings all the way around but a dirt floor, what would ballpark price of getting a slab poured,
i was also thinking of doing a wood floor but think concrete might be better.

At 3.5" thick that is 3.5yds, last I heard it was 150ish a yard so about 500 for concrete plus finishers and pump if needed as well as road base or sand on top of the dirt

At 4" thick that is 3.95 yards. Rebar 18" on center would be (25) 20' lengths of bar. If it can't be accessed by the concrete truck I would rent a Georgia Buggy to get the concrete to the pour area. I'd order a big rock mix like a 560C3250. As for price I have no idea.

I paid about $160 a yard from Holiday Rock last month.

That’s a pretty small job. Order bags of crushed rock and rebar from HD delivered.

Probably only need one finisher.

Yeah, not worth it to save $400 +/- on a pump. I wouldn’t do the whole Georgia buggy thing either that’s just way more work, get a pump.

That would be the cost of all material and labor,

I would do that with two finishers. 320 ft.² is small and one finisher is adequate but placing the concrete and sceeding will come out much nicer with two people.

Buying bags and mixing your own concrete, taking it in one wheelbarrow at a time would require an additional person and is never worth it to me. Do you want the concrete placed as soon and as fast as possible so you get an even finished floor rather than have one area getting hard and the last area to be placed still wet.

Most pumps will only pump a pea gravel mix. Always try and go with a big rock mix where you can. Slabs, footings, curbs, sidewalks. It's just stronger. There are big rock pumps but are pricey.

My guy, but I'm in Oregon, is $400 a yard that includes set up, mud, metal and finishing. I supply the pump which is usually around $500-$800

Pavers. Concrete will crack. Put down some 1/4 minus, pack it down level.

That's too cheap in my world. 12 sq ft/31K is what I would bid that for. I'd need 8K net. That/my price is with GL, WC ins and all the labor on payroll. I then have to pay/match SS and SDI on employees check withholdings. Pay for work trucks and tractor mobilization/fuel, truck ins etc,,,,,it all adds up if your gonna do work by the book in CA. Homeowners prefer to hire the guys that pay cash labor because they're cheaper. That's why I went commercial/public works years ago.

$8 a foot is really low. 2" of compacted base, with #3 at 18" OC 3.5" thick I would be at $15 a ft with dirt removal and haul. Concrete remove on and haul $18.

8K net was after all the other costs to operate profitably. Job by me would have been 31K. He IMHO got a fair deal at 10.66 sq ft

Doing a little concrete demo for a hour today. Have to trench down the middle of 98' driveway for the sewer, water and electric main. I quoted 18k for driveway replacement. Now they want to double up the front parking and make it pavers from the house to street behindthe gate concrete. Probably around 26k.
