Not her first rodeo. My wife again baked a perfect bird for all of us. Under the skin butter and spiced rubbed, covered with cheese cloth, then baked until a perfect 165 degree completion. We do like turkey. But, Thanksgiving is really the only time we have it. Couple of left over dinners and a few sandwiches and we’re done with it. I have to wonder about others? Some seem quite intent on their rather involved perfected methods of cooking - peanut oil deep fried, smoked etc etc etc. Do you have turkey throughout the year? We don’t. FWIW, Interesting to note, our oldest daughter and husband don’t even like turkey. So, for them we BBQ’d a Tri Tip roast. And unlike turkey, we have BBQ’d Tri Tip all year long.
