How do I clone a remote from a remote?

I have a wireless remote control for a winch with only 2 functions; in & out. Ideally I want 3 remotes. Who could I go to that can provide and program spare remotes with matching frequencies from an existing remote. They are coded and sealed from the factory on different frequencies per the manufacturer and no luck getting multiple from them. All of my searches come up with Garage door style remotes or remote sets that would require replacing the hardwired controller.

Thanks Team

I saw years ago on the news house burglars had a device that could capture a garage door remote frequency when it was used and then open your door after you leave, same idea: capture and duplicate

Here's a Harbor Freight controller and there's a video with the wiring diagram. They all might be programmed the same.

😁 That's the one I'm dealing with and will probably have to change the controller module. The frequencies are all different, same issues on a Warn winch

@Deckin Around Buy 3 remotes/receiver sets and parallel the control wiring from the receivers to the relays? Yeah, you'll have to mount 3 receivers, but shit, you're looking at $120, whereas custom seems like it would add up quickly.

So if I'm understanding, strip the wires on 2 new units and piggy back those wires onto the wires of the original line making the connection to the controller? Sounds easy if they don't screw with each other

Exactly. Cut the plug off one of the receivers, and leave enough wire to strip & crimp prongs onto both the receiver and the plug tails. I would then use a bus bar to do the splicing, something like this depending on how many wires are in that thing:

Put two receivers on one side, and one receiver and the plug on the other side. If for some reason the signal from a receiver backfed to another and made things not work, I think you would need a diode on each wire so that current can only to one way.

I am NOT an electrician or an electrical engineer.
