So, I heard about a hotel that has rooms attached to a lazy river that takes you around to the main pool and it has a swim up bar. I believe it’s in Cabo. Has anyone experienced this? Or know of the place?

Thanks!

I googled and found a few hotels that have swim up rooms but what was described to me was a bit different. Most of the swim up rooms I’ve found sounds like they’re private pools or a row of rooms connected to a larger private pool. The one that was described to me was like a lazy river went past your patio. You jumped in and it dumped you in the main pool. Less private yes. But I REALLY dig the idea of stepping out my patio and floating to the bar. Then when done float back to my room. That to me sounds like fuckin paradise! 😂

Excellence club playa mujeres has what you are describing. You would have to get a room on the bottom floor to have direct access to the lazy river and bars.

We went 8 years ago and I was skeptical of the all inclusive but it was super clean, great food and unlimited drinks.

We stayed at Nobu in October. We got a room with a private pool. They also have rooms that you can join into a larger pool if that's your thing

looks like there are a few
search brings up many results
Here is one
I've stayed at the Hyatt Ziva a couple of times. Nice resort. I would stay there again but I've been bopping around checking out others. I really like the east cape area even though the majority aren't all-inclusive like many of those at SJdC.

My wife and I stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach for our honeymoon in one of the swim up pool rooms. The resort is an awesome places with great food and bars. Unfortunately the pools attached to the bottom floor rooms do not connect to the main pool where the bar is via lazy river. The pools are only attached to the 10 rooms on the bottom floor of each building. in order to go to the bar you have to walk. But i will say having drinks delivered to your room at all hours of the night while in you private pool was a pretty good second best.

The only thing i don't like about having a swim up room with a lazy river to a bar is your neighbors also have a swim up room with a lazy river to the bar...

There's a reason I quit hanging in the channel on holiday weekends.

I know you probably never heard of or thought about going to Holbox, Neither did I after Cabo being our place for the last 17 trips.

I’ve never stayed here, but we had lunch at and walked around this place. I’m thinking this could be right in your wheelhouse. You will love the island!! Especially, if it’s just you and the wifey.

You guys know I never go to Mexico even if I had a private G5 to take me there and my own exclusive resort,it’s all about the cartels.

I’m not in all inclusive is a bunch of drunks around and stupid shit but let me give you a recommendation the Westin Ganasthe Costa Rica been there. It’s 100 acres with a golf course. The place is incredibly clean and probably three times a staff you have and a resort in Hawaii and it is all inclusive. Private van ride from the airport about $80 takes about an hour and 15 minutes. It’s on the water small waves good beach, seven different individual restaurants plus a buffet and all booze included.

Many pools and swim up bars.

Floatin' and Peeing on the way to the bar! 😂

We were in Vegas at the swim up black jack tables years ago at the Tropicana. We still give my buddy shit to this day. Dude never stepped out of the pool once in 5 hours, we we were drinking like fish.

Don't get me wrong, I piss at the river, but I hate public pools for some reason!

This is the Westin club area within the hotel in Costa Rica yet to be titanium or higher to get in here but they’re probably 45 other pools that are very similar.

What airport do yo fly into and how long. Wife actually wanted to go to Costa Rica at one point and I’m with you about Mexico. Breaking my cardinal rule even considering it lol.

It’s our 20th wedding anniversary so trying to do something cool for the two of of us.

That place looks killer and you’re right. Fits the description. But trying to stay JSX close. And we’re going to Belize in a couple weeks and thats kinda over that way.

Just got back, we were in Houston for business, so an easy flight. Flew United business class, decent enough as it is a short flight non stop to Liberia Airport, close to the Pacific coastline. Not just a resort all kinds of day trips available very inexpensive but $125 a person you can do zip lining in the jungle, ATV on the beach, horseback riding, etc. we went to the rainforest interesting day long one but very interesting. Pick up and return to the hotel. Things you would never see or do anywhere in Mexico and unlikely to do in Hawaii. It is a different spin and outstanding service. Many many hotels in the area, but this is probably the best one in this area with the best sand on the beach for what that’s worth and of course it’s got all the Marriott class and dependability.

If you head to Costa Rica, watch out for the monkeys. Those little bastards will snatch your phone and drinks quick!

Yeah, the weather in Costa Rica on the Pacific side is insanely beautiful through mid March maybe 81 to 85 every day it’s sunny most of the days of course a little on the humid side but nothing like parts of Southeast Asia. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed and it really is a step up from Mexico, especially on the safety aspect.

So couple of negatives I’m seeing. 5.5 hour flight and from the looks of things the place would be really cool to take the kids with all
Those activities. Gotta figure it out. Thanks for the info though. If not this time, it’s definitely on the lists for a future spot!
