Did Boat Bling change the recipe? I wiped my boat down last week and that stuff had me coughing like crazy from the strong scent and when I was finished, my hand was blue.

I’ve been using that stuff for about 20 years. Not sure if the stuff recently changed or if I just got a couple bad jugs.

Coughing & smurf hands are bad for businesso_O Please PM me your name, shipping address, email & phone # and I'll make sure our team gets a replacement out to you ASAP. If you can include the lot # printed on the bottle we can check the batch history too.

From the sound of it, there was separation in the bottle which tends to do 2 things:
  1. Make the glacial acetic acid scent more pungent due to an imbalance between it and the berry fragrance
  2. Dye likes to bond to the polymer sealant in the formula, if it separates a "glob" of blue sealant can come out of the trigger. A small amount of non-blended dye on the towel can result in dreaded smurf fingers, not a good look.

Always wear rubber gloves so it doesn’t make my hands smell like hot sauce for a couple days.

But it makes the garage smell great!

I am going to start wearing gloves regardless. Bought a few boxes to take up there.

Anytime it's Hot Sauce time everyone else disappears! lol I usually don't mind though because its just me, my first beers of the day and some music of my choice.
Sauce daddy had told me no a while back. I had some stashed away but I believe it’s all used up now.
