Anyone have any experience with the truck campers? We looked at the A, B and C classes but the wife wants something smaller and that we can separate from to go exploring with or take a simple trip to the grocery store without having to breakdown camp. We came across the Host Yukon and Eagle Cap 1200. Both rigs look like they fit the bill but I'm leaning towards the Host.

Anyone have any input on these rigs pros or cons?

I had a Big Lance camper on my CC Dually for a few years, I stored the truck in the garage, the camper outside.

The whole experience was poor. I sold the camper when I divorced wife #1, it was more for her.

I never once removed the camper when "camping", putting it on/off was a bit of an ordeal.

The hitch extension bolted to the camper, plus wiring, tie downs and jacking it up / aligning it....

Lots of bounce / sway when driving, the thing was HEAVY.

Class A towing a "toad" will be next, if I can't ever swing a lake house.
