Late in the auction someone announced they own a tow company called “hop to it” and wanted to donate a 1,000 miles of towing for the live auction. I bid on it to 3k (knowing what the going rate is) and won it.

Well now I’d like to cash it in and get it setup for LOTO this year. The problem is the guy didn’t leave a contact number so I would like to track him down. That will get us 2/3 the way to Loto, the he would also get the return trip.

You could buy Iraqi Dinar (currency) when it was on its way out. The “bet” would be to own a bunch, and see the currency stay alive.

I did some google fu, and found a place in Vermont, and a place in Utah (2, not to) but neither would really have any reason to show up in Havasu unless they wanted to fleece some drunk dudes outta their money. I was hoping you paid in Dinars, so you would be about the cost of a warm Coors light....

It isn't a sore subject for me.. It's a long story but I bought 1K worth of Dinars.. Some idiot (one day I'll tell the long story) was saying he was involved in the re-evaluation of the currency and was saying it would be worth a lot more any day. I held onto it for a few months listening to this dumbshit dribble on and on about it every single day.. After awhile I sold the Dinar for the exact 1K I had into it.. LOL.

The level of full of shit though that this guy was spewing though was absolutely out there.. Weirdly him and his buddy came up in conversation a little while back. My wife was talking to an RE agent and she was all hot saying she got this big client that was gonna buy this big listing. She said the guys name and my wife started laughing and told him the story.. Him and his buddy (and wives weirdly enough) also enjoy going to various towns and running realtors through the ringer with all these huge things they are going to buy, but never materialize..

Same guys got Teague on the hook one time saying they were buying his Skater, and they were buying magic boats and all the magics were gonna have Teague motors in them etc.. They are just delusional weirdos.. albeit somewhat convincing up front, they are full of shit and have no funds.

Seems that didn't happen.

The money goes to the charity not to the company so nobody can really get fleeced.. If for some reason that product or service can't be delivered the buyer would get their $ back.

I understand your comment but at the same time, those type of comments keep threads like yours at the top of the lounge.
