home alarm systems which one is the best????

So my house got broke into Monday...... Just had a bunch of stupid stuff taken....I am thinking about putting in a alarm system...... just wondering which systems are good and what's the monitoring monthly price???? I heard some you can set with your phone now???? Thanks.....

I have monitored alarms on all my properties. It's a great feeling when you are asleep in Havasu and the alarm people call you at 1AM. telling you that "one of your houses 325 miles away (SFV Calif) is showing a break in to the garage". I'm tired of it all.. PLEASE ! offer up names of alarm companies that offer TOTAL BOOBY TRAP PROTECTION so that when the LAPD goes to the house, they find 'some rat bastard body parts'. I'm sick of hearing "it's a false alarm" when I know it's not !

After calling numerous companies and having them give me bids I went with Monitronics. It was by far the best system. Completley wireless. You can turn on off by phone. The only false alarm was my fault. As soon as alarm went off I recieved a call from someone. They charged me $450 to install. Other companies wanted $1500 for same system. Only difference is they want a 3 year contract insted of 2 by other companies. The control panel is all touch screen. Motion sensors keyphobs which have a range of 300 ft.
