I didn't install it. Second time it's done it. When I clicked on it. It gives you advice on what to do for a earthquake. I was trying to figure out what it was then boom my house jolted. It works but I have no clue how or what app it is. Or if all the phones on this network have it.

There were a few quakes in the months preceding my departure. I just kept my fingers crossed that I would get out before one big enough to do damage hit.

I felt it slightly here in Canyon Lake...its seemed long? I felt my desk moving and thought maybe my dog ran into it but he wasnt in here, then a few seconds later as I am looking around to see what was shaking my desk, it got a little bigger at which point my wife yelled from the other room...

A few hours after the Northridge quake I was on the phone, from our home in Camarillo speaking to a buddy on the Naval base in Hueneme - when a substantial aftershock occurred. I said, wow that was a good one. My buddy in Hueneme said he felt nothing. Then about 10 seconds later he said, OK here it comes, I can feel it now. It had taken that long to travel across the farm fields between Camarillo and Hueneme. Made me believe, in a big one, that area was prime for liquefaction and potential sinking into the sandy soil.
